Testimonials

Adam had our field bred Golden for 3mo’s (Apr-Jul) came out with a great sit, stay, place, heel, force fetch, fetch, recall and retrieve.
Our dog came back with an itch for birds in the water and field!
Adam is good at letting dogs look for birds while they’re training, dogs are stubborn so after his training we started giving him commands and he started re-warming up to us around 2-3 weeks. Adam did a great job! We hope to bring him back for some advanced training.
– Beau

It’s kind of late but we gave Adam our pup at 6 months and if y’all know chocolate labs they are super energetic! She didn’t really listen she knew the basic sit and lay down that was it! She came back and she is amazing! She sits and stays, she places, she fetches and holds the bumper until told other wise! Adam sent so many pictures and videos! It was great and they were super nice to talk to!
Stella approves!
– Steven

I drove my lab from Michigan to have her train with Adam! I was very happy with the training she received when I picked her up. I was updated weekly with her progress! Adam still has been very helpful with any questions I have had. I will take my next lab to him and would highly recommend him!

About the Trainer

AgLand Retrievers is a professional dog training business based in Cottonwood, Minnesota, specializing in gun dog and advanced retrieving training for hunting and hunt test competitions. Founded in 2020 by Adam Tupman, who has over four years of experience training dogs for field trials, the business focuses on building confident, reliable hunting partners through a patient, pressure-free methodology that emphasizes each dog’s individual learning pace. Their programs include formal obedience, collar conditioning, force fetch, bird introduction, marking, whistle commands, water and land blinds, and 3-handed casting. Owners are kept informed with regular video and photo updates throughout training. The facility offers board-and-train programs with a minimum 3-month duration, and all dogs must meet strict health requirements including vaccinations and parasite testing.

Adam trains primarily retrievers and sporting breeds, helping dogs excel in both field hunting and competitive hunt tests. Clients have praised his personalized approach, consistent communication, and ability to transform energetic or timid dogs into focused, obedient hunting companions.

Food must be provided by the owner, and all veterinary care during training is at the owner’s expense.
