About the Trainer
Canines with Class is a dog training business led by Lisa Marie, a certified Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and Accredited Pet Trainer through the AKC. She offers force-free, humane training for puppies and adult dogs, focusing on basic obedience, housebreaking, and building a strong bond between dogs and their owners. Lisa is also a Certified Behaviorist and Canine Nutritionist, providing specialized guidance on breed-specific characteristics and nutritional needs before bringing a new pet home. Her approach treats every dog as if it were her own, emphasizing trust, communication, and positive reinforcement to create lasting relationships.
Lisa has been working with dogs since 1998, with experience as a Veterinary Technician, dog salon bather, and daycare manager before becoming a professional trainer. She has trained hundreds of dogs and is recognized as one of the top trainers in Southern New Jersey. Her services are tailored to help owners understand their dogs’ behavior and needs through personalized instruction.
In addition to training, Lisa offers nutrition advice and breed-specific guidance to support responsible pet ownership from the start.
Accomplishments
Lisa Marie is an Accredited Pet Trainer through AKC and a Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Certified Evaluator since 2012 (certificate valid through 2025). She is also a Certified Behaviorist and Canine Nutritionist with over 25 years of experience working with dogs in veterinary, grooming, daycare, and training settings.
