Equipment:

  • ✓ Food Rewards
  • ✓ E-Collars
  • ✓ Pinch Collars

Every program starts with a free in-person evaluation, and all three formats are run by Bailey from the first day to the last.

Board and Train: your dog lives in Bailey’s home for four to eight weeks, not in a kennel run, training daily in real-world settings. Includes weekly progress videos, a full handoff lesson where you learn every command and tool, and lifetime follow-up lessons.

Private Lessons: four to eight weekly one-on-one sessions in your home, out in the places the problems happen, or at Bailey’s indoor, air-conditioned training space in Brandon, so heat and rain never cancel a lesson. Every session is recorded so you can review the technique, with written homework between visits and text support when you get stuck.

Virtual Coaching: live video sessions for owners outside Central Mississippi, past clients wanting a tune-up, and puppy owners planning ahead. Not used for serious aggression or bite histories, which need in-person work.

Specialty tracks cover reactive and aggressive dogs, real-world obedience and manners such as loose-leash walking, recall, place, thresholds and an end to jumping and counter surfing, and puppy training. Structured puppy programs start around six months; owners of younger puppies get a practical crate, potty, socialization, and leash plan to use in the meantime.

Pricing & Policies

Pricing Summary

Pricing depends on the dog, your goals, and the level of training needed, so Bailey recommends a specific program and quotes its price at the free evaluation rather than before meeting your dog. The evaluation itself is free, with no obligation and no pressure to sign up on the spot. Third-party financing is available for qualified clients who would rather break the investment into payments.

Policies

Every program begins with a free in-person evaluation, usually at your home, because that is where the behavior lives. Structured programs are for dogs six months and older.

A bite history or aggression is never a reason to be turned away, but tell Bailey up front so the first meeting can be planned safely. No guarantees are made about how a living animal will respond; instead you get an honest assessment, a clear plan, and hands-on coaching to carry it out.

Board-and-train dogs live in Bailey’s home as part of the household. Out-of-state families should plan to stay nearby about four days at the end of the program so the handoff lessons are thorough.

Testimonials

When I got my baby, an Aussie doodle named Duckie, the dream was to take him to visit hospitals and nursing homes so I knew manners would need to be on point. I was a little nervous about working with a trainer. I wanted Duckie to be well behaved and respond to my requests but I also wanted him to be lovey and full of personality. After research and consideration, we opted for the private in-home lessons with Bailey and I could not be more pleased with the results. In 2 months Duckie went from a reactive rambunctious dog to a dog who tries very hard not to react and is very eager to please. When we started, every new person was greeted with jumps and barks. 2 weeks ago we went to the Home Depot and not one jump, not one bark. I dropped his leash and walked away as Duckie stayed in position (with just an excited tail wag) as other customers walked by him. Bailey was great to work with. He gave clear instructions and was patient with my lack of training. The tools he provided laid a strong foundation for both me and Duckie. He answered my questions and was just a text or phone call away when I struggled with new concepts. I am truly excited about the adventures that await us as I continue my work with Duckie. I am forever grateful for Bailey’s guidance on our journey.

My dog Dak and I were going through a rough time dealing with a loss of a loved one and Bailey worked with us at home for eight weeks to help train both me and Dak so he would understand I was his master now. Dak was reactive, was pulling on the leash when we walked, rushed the door and jumped on people as they entered the house, etc. Bailey’s calm and professional demeanor and very precise training, building each week on what we had learned the week before, helped Dak and me to establish a much better relationship and quality of life. We now enjoy daily walks around our neighborhood with no problem. And Dak is much more relaxed around visitors, and his overall demeanor has improved remarkably. I highly recommend Bailey Clark and his services.

We recently completed an 8 week training course with Bailey at Clark’s K9 Training. It was worth every minute and every penny. Before we began training, our dog struggled with listening consistently, obeying commands, pulling on a leash, jumping on people, and had tons of energy. After training, our dog confidently knows and obeys commands such as sit, down, place, come and back. He also does not pull while walking and stays beside us, does not jump on people, and has a much calmer and confident demeanor. What we appreciated most was Bailey’s teaching style. He was very knowledgeable about dog training, but he had a way of not making things complicated and he always presented things in a clear and concise way. He explained the tasks and what we were learning in a way that just clicks and helps you understand not only what to do, but why you’re doing it which helps the information really stick. He was patient, answered every question, adapted to our specific needs, and made us and our dog comfortable every session. He would even stay until he felt the information and training for that day was completed, even if he had to stay longer than our designated time. You can tell he is truly passionate about dog training. Not only was the training good for our dog, but it was life-changing for us. We left each class feeling like we had learned something useful and could apply it at home. We also felt a different level of connection and respect with our dog as the classes progressed. Bailey is knowledgeable, reliable, communicative, and effective. He wanted us and our dog to succeed and we are thankful for our experience with him.

About the Trainer

Clark’s Canine Training is a balanced dog training business based just outside Brandon, Mississippi, owned and run by trainer Bailey Clark. Bailey works hands-on with dogs and their owners across Brandon, Flowood, Pearl, Rankin County, and the wider Jackson metro, and takes board-and-train dogs from across Mississippi and from out of state.

Bailey started training more than five years ago, after helping a family member with a difficult dog turned into a full-time pursuit, and has since worked with hundreds of dogs and their owners. He trained through the Will Atherton Academy’s professional program and has completed coursework from Leerburg, the Michael Ellis School for Dog Trainers, and other respected balanced trainers, with continuing education ongoing.

The approach is balanced: rewards and clear rules, plus fair accountability once a dog understands what is being asked. Training happens where life actually happens, in living rooms, on neighborhood streets, in parks and pet-friendly stores, so the behavior holds up around real distractions rather than only at home.

Reactivity and aggression are the problems families call about most, including leash lunging, growling at guests, resource guarding, dog-on-dog fights between housemates, and dogs with bite histories. Every one of those cases is evaluated individually and honestly, with a realistic read on the outcome before any program starts.

Bailey trains the owner as much as the dog. Private lesson clients get recorded sessions and written homework, and every board-and-train graduate gets a full handoff lesson plus lifetime follow-up lessons, so the results hold up long after the program ends.

How to Get Started!

Call or text 601-751-8840, or book a free evaluation through the website. Calls and texts are returned within 24 hours, usually the same business day.

Have your dog’s age and breed ready, the behavior you most want to change and when it happens, any bite history, and your city. A short phone video of the behavior helps more than a long description. From there Bailey meets you and your dog in person, gives an honest read on what is driving the behavior, and recommends a program and a price.

In Their Own Words

Their Training Philosophy

Clark’s Canine Training is a balanced dog training business based outside Brandon, MS, owned and run by Bailey Clark. Programs include board and train, where your dog lives and trains in Bailey’s home for four to eight weeks, private lessons in your home and in real-world settings, puppy training, obedience, and help for reactive and aggressive dogs.

In-home lessons cover Brandon, Flowood, Pearl, Richland, Florence, Jackson, Madison, Ridgeland, Clinton, and Byram. Board and train families come from across Mississippi and from out of state. Clark’s Canine Training is BBB Accredited, and every program starts with a free, no-obligation evaluation.

A Tough Case They Solved

A rescue dog had been attacking the other dogs in her home for three years, about once a week, and one fight sent a dog to the emergency vet. Medication hadn’t fixed it, and the family was about to return her to the rescue.

At the evaluation I saw resource guarding and a dog with no structure. Over six weeks we set up management, built structure and obedience, and taught the family how to handle her. She came off medication, had only one minor incident in the next two months, and has kept improving.

What New Clients Can Expect

Every program starts with a free, no-obligation evaluation. I meet you and your dog, hear the full story, watch the behavior, and recommend a plan with a clear price.

From there it’s either private lessons in your home, around town, or at my indoor training space in Brandon, or a board and train where your dog lives in my home, not a kennel. Board and train includes progress updates and a go-home lesson where I teach you everything your dog learned. Every program comes with follow-up support after it ends.

More From the Trainer

I take the cases a lot of trainers turn away, including dogs with bite histories. For serious biters I often work the dog myself in a full bite suit so I can see exactly what the dog intends and keep everyone safe. Every dog is handled by me personally, never handed off to an assistant.

I have an indoor, air-conditioned training space in Brandon, so training happens rain or shine. IACP associate member, BBB Accredited and fully insured.
