About the Trainer
JPS Dog Training is the private coaching practice of JoAnne Brettschneider, who has spent more than 40 years working in the pet industry, including decades of hands-on competition obedience and agility instruction. She and her husband, Randy Brettschneider, a former animal control officer and vet tech, built the business around real ring experience rather than beginner classes.
JoAnne trained and taught for more than ten years with the Car-dun-al Dog Obedience club and has titled multiple Dobermans to OTCH, UDX, and MACH levels, earning several High in Trial awards along the way. That background shapes her coaching, which focuses on the specific skills and ring presence competitors need rather than general house manners.
She currently accepts private obedience or agility competition lessons on a limited basis, working one-on-one with handlers who are already showing or preparing to show their dogs.
This isn’t set up for a new puppy owner looking for basic manners. It’s built for competitive obedience and agility handlers who want focused coaching from someone who has put the same kind of titles on her own dogs.

She was a member of the Car-dun-al Dog Obedience club for over 10 years, training and teaching classes there. Her Dobermans have earned OTCH, UDX3, MX, MXJ, MACH6, and other titles, along with several High in Trial awards, and she has written obedience articles for Dobe Digest magazine.
