Testimonials
I dreaded hooking up his leash. After training, we are walking down the sidewalk past dogs, people, deer, and no issues. I only wish I had started sooner.
– Jen P.
The improvement has been remarkable. Molly is now much more comfortable in different environments, quicker to disengage, and more relaxed overall.
– Samantha M.
Steve guided me from a first-time dog owner, stressed about destructive puppy behavior, through the Canine Good Citizen and now to a happy, bonded therapy dog team.

About the Trainer
Port City Dog Training is a private, in-home dog training service led by Stephen Dube, serving Muskegon and the surrounding lakeshore communities of West Michigan. Stephen is a certified professional dog trainer who comes to your home, where real-life behavior actually happens, to help you and your dog build clear communication and lasting good habits.
Stephen’s approach is built on a simple idea: behavior is communication. He uses positive reinforcement and Fear Free, science-based methods to change how a dog feels, not just how it acts, so training builds trust instead of fear. There are no harsh collars and no sending your dog away, just personalized coaching that fits your family and your goals.
A CPDT-KA certified and Fear Free Certified trainer, Stephen also instructs group classes at the Humane Society of West Michigan and works hands-on with fearful and challenging shelter dogs. Whether you have a new puppy, a reactive dog who struggles on walks, or a family pet who needs the basics, Stephen meets you where you are and helps you get where you want to be.
Accomplishments
Stephen Dube is a CPDT-KA Certified Professional Dog Trainer, a Fear Free Certified Professional, and an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator.
