Testimonials

“Orel is hands down one of the best dog trainers out there! Our experience with him has been nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we met him, you could tell that he had a deep love for dogs and a genuine desire to help them become the best versions of themselves. His commitment to his craft is truly inspiring, and his approach to training is both effective and humane.”
– Rafael Valverde

“My dog had some behavior problems, among other bad habits, Professor Paws fixed the problem, went over commands with me as well. I would highly recommend”
– Lashunn Harper

“We met Orel through a family friend. He was very helpful, honest and down to earth during our initial phone conversation and helped us feel very comfortable and at ease about leaving our German Shepherd puppy with him. Orel was ALWAYS available on the phone or text, which put our minds at ease. Any questions or concerns we had, he answered immediately at any time. He sent photos and videos during training to update us. Our pup trained with Orel for a month. We did Basic and Off-Leash training. When Bane came home he was a different puppy. Disciplined, obedient, a pleasure to take on walks, no longer pulling on the leash, no barking and jumping at other dogs, heeling and sitting when told to do so, no more jumping on the family or visitors and SO much more. We recommend Orel to every person who stops to compliment Bane’s good behavior. It was a pleasure to work with him and he continues to be available whenever we reach out at any time! We look forward to working with Orel in the future when Bane is ready for Protection Training!”

About the Trainer

Professor Paws Chicago Dog Training, led by trainer Orel, offers intensive board & train programs designed to transform dogs into calm, confident, and well-mannered companions. Their programs focus on real-life manners, leash skills, obedience, and behavioral rehabilitation in a structured home environment with a large fenced yard. They train dogs aged 3 months to 12 years, offering custom plans for energetic puppies and challenging behavioral cases. Training includes 10 core commands taught on and off-leash, plus additional life skills like waiting at doors, potty on command, and calm behavior around people and other dogs. They emphasize operant conditioning without e-collars or punishments, using leash and collar manipulation, prong collars, longlines, and bite sleeves for working-line dogs. Owners receive hands-on handler training upon pickup, daily photo/video updates, and ongoing maintenance support. Their approach blends structure with humane methods, prioritizing lasting results over quick fixes.

They specialize in transitioning dogs from indoor obedience to outdoor reliability, teaching precise heel positioning, reliable recall, and impulse control. Clients report dramatic improvements in behavior, including reduced pulling, barking, jumping, and reactivity. Follow-up sessions are available to help owners maintain progress at home.

Orel has trained numerous dogs with dramatic behavioral transformations, as evidenced by client testimonials.
