Sam Short holds the Certified Dog Behavior Consultant (CDBC) credential and is a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (KPA CTP), and takes on the cases standard obedience training is not built to resolve: aggression and bite histories, severe fear and anxiety, leash and barrier reactivity, conflict between dogs living in the same household, and the rocky first months after a shelter adoption.

The approach is a forensic one. Rather than drilling obedience over the top of a problem, Sam looks into the why behind a dog’s behavior to separate environmental triggers from the dog’s own responses, then builds a safe, science-based plan from there. Families navigating a difficult transition with a newly adopted rescue are a particular focus.
