Testimonials
We are so beyond lucky to have found Anyssa at 4Paws Canine Training! She has been phenomenal with our two Aussiedoodles. Our 1-year-old girl is a ball of energy…too smart for her own good and always ready to play while our 5-year-old values her alone time and has every quirky trait you can imagine (she even runs away when we cough, haha!). They couldn’t be more opposite, yet Anyssa knew exactly how to bring out the best in both of them.
What makes her stand out is that training isn’t just in one place. She takes the pups on real-life adventures and even uses her own pups to teach ours how to socialize and interact properly. This was huge for us! She also makes sure we’re learning alongside them, giving us tools, tips, and confidence to keep the progress going. She checks in, shares advice, and offers boarding, which gives us so much peace of mind.
We are extremely protective pet parents (we fully admit we baby our dogs!), but we trust Anyssa with them completely. Every dollar we’ve spent has been more than worth it. She is truly the best in the business and we couldn’t recommend her more highly!
– Client
Anyssa was absolutely wonderful to work with. She caters all her training to what your dog needs. She taught our puppy to walk properly on a leash, wait to walk out the crate/door, how to play nicely, how to socialize with people and dogs and so much more. Our puppy loves seeing her and Bayleigh. I would recommend 4 paws training to anyone needing help in the Nashville area!
– Client
I worked with several other trainers before finding Anyssa. They all prioritized control in one way or another, either through “dominance” and scaring the dog or expecting the owner to greatly change their lifestyle to reach their training goals. Anyssa is different: She prioritizes relationship. She is non-judgmental and she teaches you how to build a positive relationship with your dog. She sets both you and your dog up for long-term success by giving YOU the tools you need to train your dog.

About the Trainer
4 Paws Canine Training is a woman-owned dog training business based in Westmoreland, TN, serving Middle Tennessee. They specialize in relationship-based training that helps dog owners build lasting bonds with their pets through real-life, outdoor experiences—no concrete floors or rubber mats, just natural environments. They offer private in-home lessons, puppy training programs, and intensive board & train options, including a 4-week+ program for dogs with leash reactivity or behavioral issues. Their training focuses on teaching owners how to train their dogs, not just training the dog for them. They also provide free monthly training circles post-program and offer boarding and daycare services to maintain progress. Their trainer, Anyssa Loux, has 7 years of hands-on experience and has trained dogs with a wide range of issues including reactivity, aggression, and fearfulness.
They take dogs on real-life outings across Middle Tennessee, including Nashville, to proof skills in distracting environments. Their puppy program is designed for puppies 8–16 weeks old, with options for 14, 21, 30, or 60-day stays. Private lessons are ideal for hands-on owners on a budget, and all programs include travel fees based on location. Payment plans are available for qualified clients.
Accomplishments
Trainer Anyssa Loux has 7 years of professional dog training experience, holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Boise State University, and trained at Prestige’s Michael Ellis School for Dog Trainers in California. She competes with her own dogs in Hunt Tests, Dock Diving, and AKC Trick Titles, earning a Master’s Dock Diving Title and Junior Hunter Title.
