Forget about Cesar Milan, Gwen is the true dog whisperer! We were referred to her by a neighbor six years ago. We were first dog owners and had a horrific experience with another dog trainer in the area. Gwen, the founder of A B Canine, has been training dogs since 1986, bringing over 34 years of hands-on experience to every client. She began her journey with dogs at age 5 and has built a career rooted in psychology and communication, combining her passion for people and animals. Gwen offers personalized training sessions tailored to each dog and family’s needs, using practical techniques designed to fit seamlessly into daily life. She specializes in puppy training, behavior modification, and therapy dog certification through Creature Comfort Pet Therapy. In addition to training, she provides convenient pet boarding and grooming services. Her approach is calm, patient, and family-oriented, ensuring every member of the household understands their role in the training process.
She offers in-home, park, and pet store sessions, as well as online Zoom training for clients locally or worldwide. Her programs include hourly sessions, 5-week and 8-week courses, and a 2-week at-home boarding camp. Gwen is certified as a Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and a Creature Comfort Pet Therapy Evaluator, and she is a member of APDT and IACP.

She holds a BA in Psychology and Communication and previously managed a state-of-the-art boarding, grooming, and training facility.
