Testimonials
I’ve had such a great experience with Agile Canine. I’ve worked with Annelise, Lisa, and Aug, and every one of them has been fantastic. They all take the time to understand my dog and tailor the training to his needs — even with my off-breed agility dog, they meet him exactly where he’s at.
The sessions are fun, clear, and truly focused on building a confident, capable agility dog. I’ve seen real progress, and my dog absolutely loves coming here. I highly recommend Agile Canine to anyone looking for thoughtful, breed-savvy, quality agility training.

I’m in the foundations class with Lisa and it’s been great! My dog, who can be pretty anxious, loves it there and knows we only have fun there! Lisa is really good at teaching you how to teach your dog, and her instructions are very clear. She knows what each dog needs in order to learn the necessary skills.

I’ve trained with Agile Canines for about 9 years and love it! Great instructors, who know their stuff – they compete in many different agility venues and set up their students to be successful. I have a dog with some physical limitations and Annelise welcomed and supported us. He has succeeded far beyond my wildest dreams in agility.

About the Trainer
Agile Canines Training School is a dog training facility in St. Louis Park, MN, specializing in positive reinforcement-based training for competitive agility and obedience. They offer ongoing small-group classes with individualized instruction, ensuring each dog-handler team receives personalized attention. Their signature Sports Foundations program prepares puppies and dogs (4 months and older) for agility, obedience, rally, and freestyle by building foundational skills like impulse control, body awareness, target training, and loose-leash walking. Classes are held in a calm, supportive environment with experienced instructors who have competed nationally in multiple agility organizations. They also offer drop-in Therapy Dog classes for certification preparation and ongoing skill refinement. Private lessons are available Monday through Thursday. The school fosters a strong community of dog owners and provides additional learning opportunities like mock trials, open ring times, and specialty workshops led by national experts.
Their instructors have decades of combined experience competing in AKC, CPE, NADAC, UKI, and USDAA events. Students progress through levels—Sports Foundations, Beginning Agility, Intermediate Agility, and Advanced Handling—based on skill mastery, not fixed schedules. The facility is dedicated solely to training, with separate rooms for each class to minimize distractions. Retention rates are high due to the structured, positive, and consistent approach.
Therapy Dog classes are open to dogs 11 months and older with solid obedience and no negative reactions to other dogs. Drop-in sessions allow flexibility for both new and experienced handlers. The school does not offer boarding, grooming, or day care, focusing exclusively on training and competition preparation.
