All 4 Paws Dog Training

Basic good manners training is delivered in 4 private or semi-private in-home sessions, customized to the dog and owner’s needs. Behavior consultations include an initial visit and a follow-up plan, with optional additional sessions. Pre-adoption counseling is a one-time 30–60 minute session covering breed compatibility, transition tips, and early training guidance. No group classes or board-and-train programs are offered.

Pricing Summary

Private in-home sessions: $75 per session or $250 for a 4-session package. Semi-private sessions: $50 per dog per session or $187.50 per dog for a 4-session package. Behavior consultations: $90 for initial 90-minute session, $75/hour for follow-ups. Phone consultations: $25/hour with first 15 minutes free. Pre-adoption counseling: $25 per session.

All 4 Paws Dog Training is a positive, reward-based dog training service owned by Heather Smith, a Pat Miller Certified Trainer with over 15 years of experience since 2009. Heather specializes in basic good manners training for dogs and puppies using gentle, force-free methods such as clicker training and positive reinforcement—no choke chains, e-collars, or physical punishment. She provides private in-home instruction tailored to each dog’s needs, covering essential skills like sit, down, loose leash walking, come, and polite greetings. Heather also offers behavior consultations for common issues like jumping, pulling, chewing, resource guarding, and anxiety, and refers serious aggression cases to certified behaviorists. She provides pre-adoption counseling to help prospective owners choose the right dog and prepare for a smooth transition. A special discount is available for dogs adopted from shelters or rescues.

Heather is a member of the Pet Professional Guild and has completed advanced training through Peaceable Paws, including workshops on reactive dogs and shelter behavior assessments. She has volunteered with multiple rescues and trained shelter dogs to improve adoption outcomes.

All services are offered exclusively in the Chambersburg/Fayetteville, PA area and surrounding regions.

Accomplishments

Heather Smith is a Pat Miller Certified Trainer (2010), having completed 135 hours of internships at Peaceable Paws, earned high scores on practical exams, and assisted in Reactive Rover workshops. She has volunteered as a Certified Shelter Evaluator with Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue and trained foster dogs for CRCPA. She attended Clicker Expo in 2011 and 2012 and is a member of the Pet Professional Guild.
