Dog Training Methodology

Owners enroll their dogs in a 2-week intensive board-and-train program where the dog lives in the trainer’s home. Daily training includes obedience commands and behavior correction. Dogs are taken on short car trips for socialization and to address car sickness. Upon return, the trainer spends 1–2 hours teaching the owner how to reinforce the training at home.

“We just got our basset hound Nori back today after Tom’s two week training in his home, and what a difference! During the two weeks Tom had her, he sent videos of how Nori was doing during her training. Today he came back to our house with her and spent over an hour reviewing her training like stay, sit, heel, down and come. She now stays in one place when told to, allowing us to go about our business while she remains on her bed. She can also go with us out on our property and she stays close, and comes back when we call. During our walk she heels to my side and there is no more pulling on the leash. It is amazing what he accomplished with this stubborn little dog. When he was ready to leave Nori went to him and licked his face and gave him lots of kisses proving that he was kind but firm in his training. They really bonded. Now she is a well trained doggie in our home. Great job Tom. I highly recommend him.”

About the Trainer
All Breed Training Services is a home-based dog training business run by Tom, where dogs stay in his house alongside his own pets. Training includes essential commands like sit-stays, down-stays, loose leash walking, recall, and the place command, along with behavior correction for counter surfing and jumping. Daily short car trips are used for socialization and to help dogs with car sickness. Training is conducted with a small number of dogs to ensure personalized attention. Tom also provides in-home follow-up sessions to teach owners how to maintain their dog’s new behaviors. The program prepares dogs for Canine Good Citizenship or dog sports.
Clients receive video updates during the training period and are given hands-on instruction upon their dog’s return to ensure consistency at home.
