About the Trainer
Alpha Pack K9 Training Center is a professional dog training facility founded in 2019 by T.J. and Jennifer Dobbins, with T.J. bringing 15 years of experience as a certified Ohio Highway Patrol K9 handler and trainer. They offer customized training programs for all breeds and ages, including one-on-one private sessions, board and train programs (2–6 weeks), virtual training, and pre-trained protection dogs. Their specialty lies in protection dog training, police K9 handler courses (OPOTA certified), and working dog development using real-world street scenarios rather than just certification prep. They also breed Malinois and Dutch Shepherds for police and protection work, with health and DNA-tested parent dogs. The facility supports the Fur Missile Foundation, which places rescued working dogs with police departments at no cost. Training is conducted at their facility by appointment only, with 24/7 support for K9 teams and free maintenance training days.
Clients can choose from programs focused on obedience, tracking, detection, bite work, behavior modification, and scent work. They emphasize practical, street-ready skills and require an evaluation before protection training enrollment. The team is passionate about helping dogs reach their full potential with personalized attention and proven methods.
Additional services include a retail store for dog supplies and breeding of high-performance working dogs.
They serve dog owners seeking serious, results-driven training for protection, working, or behavioral needs, with a strong community focus.
Accomplishments
T.J. Dobbins is an OPOTA-certified K9 trainer with 15 years as a state trooper and K9 handler. He competed on A&E’s America’s Top Dog in 2020 with K9 Kado, finishing second overall. Alpha Pack K9 has rescued over 400 Malinois and Dutch Shepherds and partners with the Fur Missile Foundation to place dogs with police departments at no cost.
How to Get Started!
