Testimonials
Tony and Charlene made us feel comfortable leaving our family’s 2 dogs, for 2 weeks there. They are awesome people and took great care of our pups. I highly recommend boarding there.

Had 3 dogs there for a week. All were healthy and under 5 years old. Dogs were throwing up on the way home in the car and within 6 hours our youngest one passed away. The other 2 started having diarrhea and we rushed them to emergency vet 80 miles away where they spent the night on fluids and medicine for gastritis. Vet said dogs got sick from boarding facility and if we wouldn’t have brought them in they would have died too. $3000 later. This place should be closed.

About the Trainer
Back to Basics Dog Obedience offers dog training and pet boarding services. They provide board and train programs, as well as in-person training sessions. Some clients report positive results, noting that their dogs became calmer and more confident after just a few lessons. Others have raised serious concerns about the facility’s care, including reports of dogs becoming severely ill after boarding, with one dog dying and others requiring emergency veterinary treatment. One review alleges unprofessional and abusive behavior by the trainer, including use of racial slurs toward dogs, which caused lasting behavioral trauma. The business also offers boarding for elderly and young dogs, with mixed feedback on safety and care.
The trainer appears to focus on obedience training and may use corrections, based on client observations. Services include both training and boarding under the same operation.
Due to conflicting reports, potential clients should exercise caution and seek direct verification of practices and safety standards.
