Testimonials
My wife and I had been looking for dog training for our little dog Charlie. Other at home trainers were going to use an e-collar but we didn’t feel good about it. We found Balanced Pooches and thought we would give it a try. John trains you, the owner, how to effectively use positive reinforcement, and leadership training to get your dog to listen and be your friend. It’s a very personable experience. He gives you the tools you need to continue training your dog after the sessions are finished. He’s also much cheaper than a lot of alternatives but still provides a quality service. We have seen many positive improvements in Charlie. I wish we had started with John earlier!

We became new puppy parents again after about 17 years and really needed help figuring out how to make little Gene a proper gentleman. We decided in home training would be best for our schedules and based on the great reviews chose Balanced Pooches. What a great decision it turned out to be. John was in a word fantastic. We had a fast approaching trip and he was able to accommodate our schedule and help us get Gene confident and ready for the adventure. John was always right on time and respectful and he taught us the importance of being leaders for our dog. Our Gene is still a puppy and has more work to do but from day 1 we already saw huge improvements. Like anything worth having in life, training takes consistency but John teaches you how to make it fun and easy! I highly recommend Balanced Pooches!

John trained our 10-month old pug puppy Coco. We have seen a huge improvement in Coco’s behavior and listening skills since we started the program only 21-days ago. Coco went from a puppy who didn’t respect or listen to anyone, to a puppy who behaves like a dog that has been trained properly since day 1. I highly recommend hiring John as your dog trainer. Thank you John!
