Beyond Leash

Private lessons are scheduled by appointment and conducted at the client’s home or public locations. The Board & Train program places dogs in Anna’s home Monday–Friday for focused, structured training in a controlled, low-stress environment. Each week includes a “go-home” lesson for owners to learn how to reinforce skills. Training covers basic obedience, advanced off-leash, behavior modification, and specialized tasks like scent work, rally, and service tasks. All programs emphasize real-world consistency and family involvement.

Pricing Summary

Private lessons: $140 per 60–90 minute session. Lesson package: $546 for 4 sessions (buy 3, get 4th at 10% off). Board & Train: $1,750 for 2 weeks, $3,300 for 4 weeks, $4,800 for 6 weeks. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to book Board & Train, with the balance due on drop-off. Veteran discount: 5% off all services. 4 Love of Dog Rescue clients receive 50% off first lesson. Equipment recommendations range from $15–$250.

Policies

A 50% non-refundable down payment is required to secure a spot in the Board & Train program. The remaining 50% is due on the day of drop-off. All dogs must be at least 4 months old and fully crate trained to begin a program. No other cancellation or rescheduling policies are specified.

Beyond Leash Canine Training, led by certified professional trainer Anna, helps dog owners build lasting, positive relationships with their pets through science-based, reward-based training methods. Anna specializes in pet obedience, behavior modification, and advanced skills including Scent Detection, Agility, Rally, and Protection work. She offers private lessons at the client’s home or public locations, as well as an in-home Board & Train program where dogs stay with her in a low-stress, home environment rather than a commercial kennel. Anna is also an AKC Evaluator and provides Canine Good Citizen (CGC) testing. Her training extends to service tasks, hunting, and competition preparation, with personalized attention to each dog’s breed, temperament, and family goals.

Anna’s own dogs—Argo (German Shepherd), Petey (Border Collie), and Oscar (Labrador)—compete in American Shutzhund, Dock Diving, Scent Detection, Freestyle Disk, Rally, and AKC Obedience, demonstrating her hands-on expertise across disciplines. She works with dogs of all ages and breeds, incorporating the entire family into training sessions for real-world consistency.

Additional services include Pet CPR and First Aid certification, veteran discounts, and a 50% discount on the first lesson for 4 Love of Dog Rescue clients.

Accomplishments

Anna is a graduate of Kennelwood Academy and certified in Pet CPR and First Aid. She is an American Kennel Club (AKC) Evaluator. She actively competes with her own dogs in American Shutzhund, Dock Diving, Scent Detection, Freestyle Disk, Rally, and AKC Obedience. She previously trained psychiatric service dogs for veterans at Patriot Assistance Dogs in Detroit Lakes, MN.
