Testimonials
Before I met Brandy, I tried training my two little dogs as best as possible on my own, but didn’t really know what I was doing. Brandy helped me understand some fundamentals about how training works and how dogs think that went beyond just giving commands. Understanding why my dogs were responding to me the way they were in different circumstances made a huge difference for us. I didn’t realize I was confusing them in some ways, and also realized I had unintentionally taught them an important command that I never consistently reinforced, but now that I’m using it with intention they’re starting to get it! I highly recommend working with Brandy!
– Client
Brandy is an excellent dog trainer. She has worked with my Winston several times and every time he makes leaps in progress. He has been our toughest PWD to get trained but with Brandy’s help he is doing so very well at just a year and a half old. He no longer counter surfs or tries to take food of our plates and he doesn’t bark at us wanting to go continuously while we are trying to relax in the evenings. She taught him where his place is when we need for him to stay put while we are eating or busy with something. He goes to his dog bed or lies down nicely now. We and Winston adore Brandy!! Best dog trainer we’ve ever worked with!

Brandy takes the time to learn about your needs for you and your pup. My dogs came from an abusive home and did not trust easily. Brandy took the time to earn their trust and helped their anxiety. Not only does she offer training but she also makes me feel good about going on vacation. My pups in good hands but so is my home. (The cats don’t mind her either) I have seen her with my dogs, her dogs, and other dogs she’s trained and she treats them all the same! She’s gentle with them. I just love her so much!!!! 10/10

About the Trainer
Brandy Cox is a passionate dog trainer based in Colorado Springs, offering personalized training services to help dog owners build stronger, more fulfilling relationships with their pets. She specializes in balanced training techniques that combine positive reinforcement with clear boundaries, using treats, toys, and timing to teach dogs while also setting limits when needed. Brandy’s approach is science-based, rooted in classical and operant conditioning, and tailored to each dog’s unique personality, drive, and needs—whether they’re fearful, reactive, aggressive, or simply need basic obedience. She provides private lessons, in-home intensive training, and custom plans for specific behavior issues like leash pulling, reactivity, resource guarding, and separation anxiety. Brandy also offers dog photography and trains dogs in real-world settings like parks, stores, and hiking trails to ensure generalization of skills. Her mission is to keep dogs out of shelters by empowering owners with understanding and practical tools.
Brandy has trained dogs with extreme behavioral challenges, including those with bite histories and high anxiety, during her time at a corporate board-and-train facility. She draws from personal experience raising reactive dogs like Diablo and learning from her late dog Ginger, which shaped her compassionate, adaptable style. She avoids one-size-fits-all methods and defaults to the least abrasive tools, only recommending prong or e-collars when necessary and always with a plan to wean off. Clients praise her for clear communication, patience, and helping dogs—and their humans—feel confident and connected.
Accomplishments
Brandy trained dogs with severe behavioral issues—including bite histories, high anxiety, and low motivation—at a corporate board-and-train facility. She developed her expertise through hands-on experience with reactive dogs like Diablo and her late dog Ginger, and has completed numerous seminars and sports training programs. Her work has helped numerous dogs avoid euthanasia or shelter placement by improving owner-dog communication.
