Black Label Kennels

Black Label Kennels offers comprehensive training programs tailored to individual dog needs. Obedience training is available for dogs 12 weeks and older, focusing on eliminating bad behaviors and teaching basic commands like sit, down, place, recall, waiting at thresholds, vehicle loading, and proper greetings. The Obedience program is a 3-week intensive.

The Silver program provides basic obedience without e-collar training and can extend to advanced skills and tricks. The Gold program, a 4-week intensive, covers the same as Silver but is designed for younger dogs or those with behavioral challenges. Private one-on-one lessons are available for training and house manners, or for dogs that have had prior training and need more help.

Gun dog training is available for dogs 6 months and older, starting with basic obedience. The Puppy program (4-5 months old) offers early assessment of prey drive and confidence building with live bird introduction. The Beginner program, averaging 4-6 months, teaches hold, trained retrieve, marking skills on land and water, and prepares dogs for Junior Level competition. The Advanced program, also 4-6 months, refines skills for Senior+ hunt tests, covering doubles, blinds, memory, handling, and command mastery. Hunt Test training is offered for Junior, Senior, and Master levels, with a pro-trainer available for handling. Tune-Up programs are available for pre-season refreshers or off-season maintenance, including private or group sessions to sharpen specific skills.

Pricing Summary

Boarding rates are $45 per night for one dog and $65 per night for two dogs in one run. A pick-up after 12pm incurs an additional night’s charge. Add-on services include Bath ($25), Nail Trim ($20), Walk/Exercise ($25), and Tune Up Training ($80). Prices for obedience and gun dog training programs are determined during a phone consultation.

Policies

For boarding, check-out time is 12 PM; picking up after this time incurs an additional night’s charge. Required vaccinations include Distemper/Parvo Virus Combo (DA2PP or DHLPP), Bordetella, and Rabies, which must be updated at least 10 days prior to arrival. Dogs are not required to be spayed or neutered, but owners must advise of any upcoming heat cycles. For training, they guarantee the dog will learn the commands and they will assist in transferring this knowledge to the owner. If issues persist after the dog goes home, an additional lesson may be necessary.
