Testimonials
“After just 1 hour working with him, there was such a difference! He walked politely on leash without the pulling & jumping I was used to. I would highly recommend Blind Faith for any of your training needs!”
– Linda P.
“She is very patient and understanding with both owners and dogs, as people need training too in dog handling. She explains things simply so anyone can understand and has a professional and helpful personality. She is dedicated to her work with years of experience. Bonnie has been available as I needed her and she is truly great at everything related to training.”
– Jason F.
“Bonnie is an amazing person and dog trainer! I first met Bonnie 16 years ago while training to receive my first guide dog Bobby. Her ability to train dogs according to the needs of their human family and the dog’s temperament is beyond reproach. Bonnie is hard working, compassionate, and a true gem! Your dog will be exposed to the most current training as Bonnie is constantly continuing to search new methods of training dogs! I would highly recommend Blind Faith Family Canine Academy for all your training and boarding needs!”

About the Trainer
Blind Faith Family Canine Academy is a dog training business based in Pickerington, Ohio, serving clients across Columbus and Central Ohio, including Bexley, Gahanna, Grandview, New Albany, Pataskala, and Upper Arlington. The academy aims to help dog owners reduce stress and enjoy their dogs more by providing results-focused training programs.
A key differentiator is their in-home, family environment for board and train programs, where dogs are integrated into a real home rather than a noisy kennel. They are selective with clients, typically accepting only one or two boarding dogs at a time to ensure personalized attention and better results.
The business emphasizes peace of mind for owners by providing daily updates (text, photo, video) for board and train clients. All programs include standard training equipment, eliminating hidden costs. They offer lifetime support, committing to ensuring clients achieve and maintain their training goals, and are available via text if behaviors slip.
The founder, Bonnie Rueber, was inspired at age 12 to train guide dogs for the blind and visually impaired. She pursued this dream, working at Pilot Dogs, Inc. for over 13 years, training hundreds of guide dogs and working with visually impaired individuals. After a break to raise her children, she returned to dog training, working with pet owners and service dogs for various disabilities. Blind Faith Family Canine Academy was started out of her passion for helping dogs and people, with a strong focus on family priorities.
Accomplishments
The primary trainer, Bonnie Rueber, has over 15 years of professional training experience. After leaving Pilot Dogs, she worked part-time for a local company, running group obedience classes, training dogs in board and train programs, assisting with service dog training, and leading private one-on-one lessons.
