Blue Falcon K9 Carolinas offers a 3-week intensive program for basic obedience (sit, down, stay, loose leash walking) and a 5-week intensive program that adds recall, off-leash training, socialization, and behavior modification for aggression, separation anxiety, and reactivity. Private in-home lessons are offered weekly for 1 hour, covering foundational commands and manners. Specialty training includes service dogs, detection dogs, protection work, and AKC obedience trials. All programs include family involvement and follow-up support.

Blue Falcon K9 Carolinas is a dog training business based in Upstate SC, founded by Scott Hicks, a certified master dog trainer with 22 years of military experience and advanced K9 training certifications. They specialize in training dogs and involving the entire family to ensure long-term success, focusing on timing, consistency, and motivation. Services include basic, intermediate, and advanced obedience training, behavior modification for aggression, separation anxiety, and reactivity, off-leash obedience, scent work, protection training, and AKC CGC certification. They offer board-and-train programs (3-week and 5-week intensives), private in-home lessons, and specialty training for service, detection, and protection dogs. They also provide pet boarding and partner with the nonprofit Dogs That Help to provide free service dogs to qualifying veterans and first responders. Free evaluations are offered every Saturday.
Accomplishments
Scott Hicks is a certified Master Dog Trainer with training from the Tom Rose School, a former 82nd Airborne veteran, and a certified cargo screener K9 handler for airlines. He has trained K9s at Chicago O’Hare Airport and New Orleans Saints games. He is certified in explosives handling, K9 handler training, AKC CGC evaluation, IPO/Schutzhund, tracking, and service dog training.
