Blue Mountain K-9

Blue Mountain K-9 offers a range of training programs designed to build communication between dogs and owners. Initial evaluations are conducted to assess the dog and owner’s training goals, determining the necessary sessions and package. Puppy consultations are available for new owners, covering house training, crates, socialization, and desensitization.

Private lessons focus on one-on-one instruction, teaching both the dog new commands and the owner how to teach them. These lessons cover basic and advanced obedience, good manners, and troubleshooting common behavioral problems, with weekly “homework” provided. Group classes are held on Saturdays at 5:30 pm, designed for dogs with a solid obedience base to work on exercises and focus in the presence of other dogs, covering dog/people reactivity, good manners, and basic/advanced obedience.

The Board and Train program, specifically the Family Dog Plan, is a 4-week intensive program priced at $2,500. Dogs board at the facility and learn core commands such as Sit (implied stay), Down (implied stay), Markers, Door manners, Polite Greeting, Release command, Polite Leash Walking, and Place Command. This program includes all necessary training equipment (Training Leash, Training collar, Place Cot), a private lesson at pick-up, and a follow-up lesson. Optional add-ons include E-collar Training (+2 weeks, +$1,200) for off-leash recall and Heeling (+2 weeks, +$1,000) for formal on-leash heeling.

Behavior modification is geared towards changing specific unwanted behaviors like anxiety issues, aggression, dog reactivity, and people reactivity. They also offer preparation for AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy and AKC Canine Good Citizen certifications, and Protection Training as part of an official PSA club.

Pricing Summary

Initial Evaluation and Puppy Consultation are each $30.00 (plus tax). Group classes are $15.00 (plus tax) per class. Daycare services are $20.00 (plus tax) per day, per dog. Boarding services are $25.00 (plus tax) per night, per dog, with a $2.00 charge per meal if the owner does not provide food.

The price for Private Lessons and Behavior Modification Training Packages varies depending on the amount of sessions, which will be discussed during the initial evaluation. The Family Dog Plan for Board and Train is $2,500 for 4 weeks. Optional add-ons include E-collar Training for an additional 2 weeks at $1,200, and Heeling for an additional 2 weeks at $1,000.

Policies

Dogs are required to have standard vaccinations before daycare and boarding services. For boarding, owners are asked to provide food for their dog(s); otherwise, there will be a $2.00 charge per meal.
