Dog Training Methodology

The Board & Train Program is an immersive experience where dogs live and work alongside Bradley. This program focuses on changing a dog’s behavior and manners through consistency and repetition. It includes daily training sessions, room and board, supervised exercise, frequent updates (including photos and videos), field trips for real-world experiences, and a one-hour exit lesson for owners to learn how to implement the training at home. This program addresses nuisance behaviors such as jumping, pulling on leash, counter surfing, chewing, mouthing, and rushing the door, as well as other behavior challenges like fears, phobias, and reactivity. It also covers essential manners including Sit, Down, Stay, Wait, Leave It, Polite Greetings, Loose Leash Walking, and Sit or Stand for Attention. For puppies and adolescent dogs, training includes potty outside, self-entertaining, resting comfortably in a crate, exercising politely with other dogs, and becoming comfortable with handling for vet visits and grooming.

Individual Lessons are ideal for dogs needing to refine their manners and obedience. Bradley develops a customized training plan for behavior management and modification. These sessions include in-home or neighborhood training, a detailed training plan, and ongoing phone and email support. They cover essential manners like Sit, Down, Stay, Wait, Leave It, Polite Greetings, Loose Leash Walking, and Sit or Stand for Attention. Additionally, these lessons help correct rude behaviors such as jumping, counter surfing, pulling on leash, nuisance barking, rushing the door, and destructive chewing.
