Breedmaster Dog Training

Our family has known Lisa and their boys for 16 years. We have watched the boys grow up with our dogs! We had 3 Rhodesian Ridgebacks all trained with Breedmaster all with outstanding outcomes. They are professional and know what they are doing, especially having large dogs we needed them to train, not just potty and crate but obedience was most important. They were so well trained our young children could handle them with us keeping an eye on them. Our whole family was trained. It is the human, not the animal, that sets the bad habits, as we have learned while in training. We have also used Breedmaster for babysitting (daycare) and boarding when we go away, I would not trust anyone with my babies except Lisa when we travel. I came to Breedmaster Dog Training in search of obedience help for my bull terrier puppy, Nina. Before starting the program with Breedmaster, I felt very frustrated and lost on how to go about training my dog. I tried clicker training and other methods with her before but I was struggling to get my dog to listen. If you know anything about bull terriers they are high-energy, stubborn, and rambunctious dogs. After having my dog work with the trainers Lisa, and Koty over a few months, I started to see improvements in not only her active listening, but her attitude and walking ability. I could never get her to walk longer than five to ten minutes before the training and now she is actually excited to go out with me and practice walking properly. Breedmaster taught me that part of my difficulties before came from me not understanding my dog’s perspective and her ability to understand what I want. It took actually training myself with the program to really see improvements. Larry and his family are 100% dog people and really care about the dogs they take in to train. They understand that it takes the owner’s initiative to really feel comfortable and be active with the training at home for actual progress to occur. I love that they offer private and group lessons after their initial in-house training, and they are always available to answer any questions, night or day, about training, diet, and even health concerns for your dog. I owe the world to Lisa, Koty & Larry. My dog Chonk was genuinely unmanageable before BreedMaster dog training. I also had no idea how to control him. I would cry after most walks because he would either embarrass me, put me/others at risk or hurt me because I didn’t know how to control his unruly behavior around other people & dogs. He is a reactive dog. I didn’t properly socialize him and it showed. I moved from rural living in NC with no neighbors to busy SWFL apartment living. The transition was traumatic for us both & apartment living with his unpredictability wasn’t sustainable. After realizing my dog was a liability, I decided to do the board & train off-leash month long training package. I am so grateful I did. Not only did they train Chonk, they trained me too! I now feel confident walking him and he feels confident with me as his handler. Being able to have him off leash and to know I can recall him in a pinch has been life changing. I have no idea where we’d be if I hadn’t, but I tell everyone I meet that I will NEVER own a dog that isn’t off leash obedience trained. And you shouldn’t either!! It’s made my life and the life of everyone around me so much less stressful. I can’t recommend BreedMaster enough.
