Testimonials
We love this place! Our dog Charlie started introductory agility 3 weeks ago and he’s already learned so much. Our trainer, Lizzie, is super experienced and sweet. Highly recommend!

Really enjoy taking our dog here for agility training. The studio is nice and the class sizes are small. The instructor, Lizzie, is absolutely brilliant and has the “magic touch” with dogs. I’m happy I’m teaching my dog the right way to do the complicated task of agility training.

We love taking our pup to classes here. We’ve done private agility lessons with Amanda & behavioral lessons with Kate. Both women were so great with our pup! Kate helped us to work on Bast’s self control around other dogs and gave us detailed lesson plans for his improvement. Amanda has been coaching us on our agility handling for almost a year now, and has helped us to improve our bond with and understanding of our pup. We love you guys!!

About the Trainer
Brooklyn Dog Training Center is a dedicated dog training facility in Park Slope, Brooklyn, offering a wide range of group classes and private lessons for dogs of all ages and skill levels. They specialize in puppy socialization and training, basic to advanced obedience, agility (both recreational and competition), scent work, rally obedience, tricks, freestyle, canine fitness, and behavior modification including separation anxiety and leash walking. With over 70 years of combined experience among their trainers, the center is the only facility in Brooklyn devoted exclusively to dog training, ensuring focused, high-quality instruction. Classes are kept small to provide individual attention, and the 1500-square-foot facility features special anti-fatigue flooring for safety. Trainers are certified professionals with titles in agility, rally, dock diving, and barn hunt, and have authored award-winning books, worked in film and TV, and volunteered with shelters. Private lessons are available both in-studio and online.
The center is not affiliated with daycare, boarding, or grooming services, allowing it to concentrate solely on training. They offer programs for puppies as young as 7 weeks and senior dogs up to 11 years old, adapting exercises for physical limitations. All dogs must be up-to-date on Distemper, Parvo, Bordatella, and Rabies vaccinations.
Clients praise the trainers—such as Lizzie, Amanda, and Kate—for their expertise, patience, and ability to build strong human-dog bonds. The facility is easily accessible via the R train at Union Street and offers an easy online booking system.
