Brooks K9 Solutions offers a variety of training programs including Board and Train, Lessons, and Puppy Raising.

Board and Train programs provide intensive training where the dog lives with the trainer. The 2-week program focuses on on-leash obedience (Sit, Down, Place, Loose Leash Walking). The 3-week program expands to off-leash basic obedience (Recall, Sit, Down, Place, Heel, Door Manners) and addresses minor behavioral issues. The 4-week program covers advanced off-leash obedience with distractions in public (Recall, Sit, Down, Place, Heel, Door Manners, Load, Drop It/Leave It) and also addresses minor behavioral issues. All Board and Train programs include boarding, bi-weekly photo/video updates, supervised playtime, crate training, relaxation protocols, and a handler transfer session. They come with a 100% guarantee on training and free follow-ups. Aggression/Reactivity cases are evaluated individually.

Lessons are designed for owners to learn alongside their dogs. Group Puppy Social classes are for puppies under 6 months old, focusing on safe socialization, puppy basics, crate training, and potty training. Private Lessons are 1-hour sessions at their Comer, GA location, covering basic on-leash obedience, problem behaviors, and tool conditioning. In-Home Lessons are 1-1.5 hour sessions at the client’s home, offering customized training for behaviors like recall, sit, down, place, loose leash walking, ignoring distractions, relaxation protocols, door manners, and reactivity.

Puppy Raising programs offer in-house care for puppies under 6 months old. The 2-week program introduces crate training, potty training schedules, socialization, and basic obedience (Recall, Sit, Place). The 4-week program builds a solid foundation in these areas and adds basic leash manners. The 6-week program aims for reliable crate training, solid potty training, extensive socialization, and advanced obedience with duration (Recall, Sit, Down, Place, Loose Leash Walking), including field trips. All puppy raising programs include 24/7 in-home care and basic handling for vet/groomers.

Pricing Summary

Board and Train programs: 2-week On Leash Obedience is $950 (includes prong collar), 3-week Off Leash – Basic Obedience is $1,750 (includes remote collar), and 4-week Off Leash – Advanced Obedience is $2,200 (includes remote collar). Aggression/Reactivity Behavior Modification cases require an in-person consultation for evaluation and booking.

Lessons: Group Puppy Social is $200 for 4 weekly classes. Private Lessons at their location are $75 per lesson. In-Home Lessons are $125 per session, with an additional $25 travel fee for locations over 25 miles.

Puppy Raising programs: 2-week Puppy Raising is $950, 4-week Puppy Raising is $1,275, and 6-week Puppy Raising is $1,550. Clients who book a Puppy Raising program receive a 20% discount on any future Board and Train program.

Boarding: For previous training clients, boarding is $45/day. For new clients, boarding is $60/day. Long-term boarding (a month or more) is $1,000/month.

Brooks K9 Solutions is a dog training business founded by Head Trainer and Owner, Cari Brooks. Cari started the business with the goal of helping as many owners and their dogs as possible, focusing on building strong relationships and achieving off-leash freedom. She believes in helping owners renew their relationship with their dogs to solve major behavioral issues like reactivity, aggression, or fear.

Their training philosophy is based on balance through relationship building and motivation. They use a wide variety of training tools, including positive reinforcement, pressure and release training (learned from horse training), slip leads, prong collars, and remote collars. They aim to bridge the communication gap between owners and dogs, teaching new behaviors and effectively stopping unwanted ones.

Brooks K9 Solutions offers customizable training solutions to fit individual needs and budgets. They also provide boarding services from their home on 8 acres, featuring supervised playtime, individual potty breaks, safe downtime in crates, and camera monitoring. A brand new boarding facility is coming soon.

Accomplishments

Cari Brooks, the Head Trainer and Owner, has professional experience working with dogs in boarding facilities and daycares, learning body language and conflict resolution. She also worked for a large training company and other trainers before starting her own business.

Cari has received awards including 1st Place PPD Prep and High Obedience Score at the Practical Protection Dog Trial in April 2024. Her personal dogs include Shasta (Lab Mix, Matriarch & Socialization Expert), Dash (Border Collie/Blue Heeler Mix, Resident Good Boy), and Rumble (Doberman, Personal Protection Dog).
