Butler Dog Training Association

They hold BDTA AKC Obedience Run-thrus and BDTA AKC Rally Run-thrus, as well as AKC Rally & Obedience Trials. Their therapy dog program involves over 14 scheduled monthly visits to various facilities in the Butler County area, including hospitals, nursing homes, and care centers. They also have a “Paws to Read a Tale” program at the Butler Public Library.

Pricing Summary

AKC Obedience Run-thrus are $10 for the first run and $5.00 for the second run (same dog). AKC Rally Run-thrus are $5.00 per run. Runs may be limited as time permits.

Accomplishments

Butler Dog Training Association is a non-profit 501C organization that has been serving Butler County for over 35 years. Their members participate in a wide variety of canine sports in multiple sanctioning bodies including AKC, APDT, and CPE.

They have one of the largest therapy dog visitation programs in the Western Pennsylvania region, with dogs tested and certified as Canine Good Citizens with the American Kennel Club and certified through Therapy Dog International. They also present dog safety presentations as part of the Canine Ambassador Program.
