Testimonials
“Sue is the absolute best! Couldn’t say enough great things about her. She worked her magic with our pup Rocco and was such a joy to have around. From the moment she walked in the house Rocco knew that she meant business. He’s a changed man and we are true fan of Calm Family Dog Training!”
– Tracey Garza, Kyle, TX
“My wife calls Sue the ‘dog whisperer’ and I fully agree. She has an amazing ability to think like the dog thinks and then use that understanding to encourage or discourage behavior.”
– Alan Knox, Wimberley, TX
“Sue was wonderful to work with. Our dog Ranger is only 6 months old, but now has a base of good manners that will last his entire life.”
– Matt Sligh, San Marcos, TX
About the Trainer
Susan Cole is the owner and head trainer at Calm Family Dog Training, offering customized dog training solutions to help dog owners create calm, well-behaved family pets. She specializes in solving common behavior problems such as leash pulling, jumping, barking, stealing food, and poor obedience, using structured, balanced methods that emphasize leadership and consistency. Her programs include in-home training, facility-based board-and-train options, and puppy-focused intensive sessions. Susan provides lifetime email and phone support to ensure long-term success, and her training includes the use of e-collars at low levels for off-leash reliability. She also offers structured boarding for dogs who complete the Stay and Train program.
Susan’s approach is tailored to each dog and family, with programs designed for puppies, adolescents, and adult dogs. She educates owners on how to maintain training at home, ensuring lasting results.
