Testimonials

Tracy is amazing! She helped us immensely in teaching my husband and I the techniques for leash training for our fearful and anxious dog. She also gave us a schedule for potty training which has been successful. Tracy was so patient, kind and knowledgeable. I highly recommend her!
– Client

We went to a local dog adoption event and Calming Canine Training was one of the businesses there that day. We stopped and talked with Tracy and mentioned that we were in the process of looking to adopt a rescue. Based on what we read on her website and our discussions with her that day, though brief, we knew that when we adopted a dog that required training Calming Canines was going to be our first call. We highly recommend that if you are in need of an excellent / amazing dog trainer that Tracy of Calming Canine is who you need to contact.
– Client

We started with training for our puppy, and have had the best experience. He LOVES Tracy and we have seen an almost immediate improvement in his behavior. We were recently looking for boarding options when Tracy let us know she was available, and it worked out so well. Her place is perfect for dogs with a huge, fenced in yard, and all the toys the pups could ever hoped for. Tracy sent us frequent updates and pictures, and we felt so comfortable leaving our dog with her. When we picked him up after the weekend he was so happy and so tired, which was exactly what we were hoping for. Overall everything has been fantastic, and we will definitely be utilizing Tracy’s services again in the future!

About the Trainer

Calming Canine Training and Behavior Solutions is a force-free, certified dog training business led by Tracy Kral, CCDT, who provides personalized in-home training, boarding, and board-and-train programs for dogs of all breeds and ages. Tracy focuses on positive reinforcement methods, avoiding aversives like prong collars, shock collars, or citronella spray, and emphasizes building a trusting relationship between dogs and their families. She offers comprehensive home evaluations to assess behavior issues, followed by customized training plans tailored to each dog’s needs and the family’s lifestyle. In addition to private training sessions, she provides boarding in a safe, home-based environment with a fully fenced yard, agility equipment, video monitoring, and daily updates. Tracy is dedicated to helping families with puppies, anxious dogs, reactivity, leash pulling, potty training, and separation anxiety, ensuring all training is fun, effective, and rooted in science.

Her services are designed for dog owners who want professional, compassionate guidance without the stress of one-size-fits-all approaches. She educates clients on dog behavior, explains why dominance-based methods are ineffective and potentially harmful, and empowers families with consistent, reward-based techniques. Tracy is fully insured and a member of respected organizations including the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT), the Pet Professional Guild, and the Shock-Free Coalition.

Clients appreciate her patience, knowledge, and ability to make training enjoyable for both dogs and humans. Many have praised her for helping fearful dogs, improving recall, and providing reliable boarding with frequent photo updates. Her approach ensures long-term success by addressing the root causes of behavior, not just suppressing symptoms.

How to Get Started!

Client engagement begins with an in-home consultation and evaluation, which lasts about 90 minutes. During this session, Tracy assesses the dog’s behavior, gathers a full history, discusses family goals, and begins implementing immediate management and training techniques. All humans and pets in the home are encouraged to attend. After the consultation, clients choose from private training packages or board-and-train options.
