Testimonials

2 weeks ago, I adopted a 2 year old Boxer from Foothills Animal Shelter as a companion for my 12 year old Boxer/Lab mix. The pups had nice meet & greet before the adoption, however within the first 24 hours of bringing Rocky into my home, he had 3 fights with my old pup Ramsey. I’ve never been around dog fights before and so this was quite intimidating for me, especially with such a big, strong dog. I was just about to take Rocky back to the shelter when I found Calvert’s flier in my adoption packet and decided to give Elizabeth a call. Elizabeth made an emergency house visit same day. She was absolutely wonderful in assessing both pups, recognizing the trigger points, giving me tons of tips and showed me a drill I could do with the pups to help with their openness to each other, and also taught me how to handle situations in which conflict starts to arise.
After 2 weeks, I can’t say the pups are quite companions yet, however we’ve made SO much progress. Honestly I’m so grateful for Elizabeth, and I know Rocky is too. There is no way I could have made it past day 3 without this extremely valuable consultation. Not only is Rocky acclimating easier, but my old pup Ramsey has also benefited from some much needed advice about dog walking tips. I thought I’d tried everything, but Elizabeth was able to give me great tips that have made walking with Ramsey so much more pleasant. Rocky, Ramsey, and I are so grateful and our confidence with each other grows stronger by the day.

I adopted a very smart, high energy puppy. Thank goodness for Elizabeth’s classes and in-home training! When you hit a wall, Elizabeth has a solution. She’s an expert trainer–for both the dog and the human

Elizabeth’s training has been so good for my little Peanut. And the group classes offer amazing (supervised) socialization

We have had the best training and boarding experiences with Elizabeth and her team! Our 1 year old, 90lb golden retriever can be a lot to handle and they’ve helped him and us learn new, effective strategies for improved behavior! Previously, we had a hard time finding anyone who could manage his energetic behavior and size well and this team has been outstanding. They even boarded him when he had higher medical needs due to surgery recovery. They administered meds, got him the stimulation and modified exercise he needed and helped him heal as our hands were full with a newborn. Also, they send daily updates that put our minds at ease and assure us that our dear pup is thriving in their care.
