Testimonials

Good morning Steve,
Update with Blue, thanks to all you folks for giving our dog the training that has completely turned him into a well behaved disciplined dog that is now very easy to walk and control, he now listens to all of our commands and no longer gets out of control nor reactive when we encounter other dogs or animals. He now walks with my wife 1-3 hours a day something we could never do before he came to you as he was too powerful. So many thanks to you and your staff for the 30 day training program that will allow him to enjoy his life.
Many thanks

Extremely Disappointed with “Can Your Dog Do This

I normally don’t leave negative reviews, but my experience with Can Your Dog Do This was so upsetting that I feel obligated to warn other dog owners.

Since my dog returned from their program, he has been using the restroom on himself every single night. Before training, he was fully potty-trained and would always communicate when he needed to go out, even at night. Now he doesn’t signal at all. From what I was told and what I observed afterward, it’s clear that during the 30-day program they did not allow dogs to go to the bathroom overnight. This forced him to soil himself repeatedly and completely broke his training. My dog now has miserable nights, and so do I.

On top of that, the trainer repeatedly ignored my instructions regarding ear posting. I specifically asked for my dog’s ears to be posted during his stay and was charged an extra $100 for it. At first I was told everything would be handled, but a couple of days after I left, the trainer suddenly claimed my dog’s ears were “bad” and posting wouldn’t help. He even said he contacted other people for their opinions about my dog–comments that were rude, unprofessional, and frankly unnecessary to share with a paying customer.

Instead of following my instructions, he gave medical opinions he’s not qualified to give and made excuses for not posting the ears properly. One ear even fell over, and he tried blaming the breeder and the person who did the crop. Yet when I got my dog back and posted the ears myself for one week, they stood up perfectly. I have photos to prove it. This makes me feel like he simply didn’t want to deal with the responsibility but still wanted the extra money. He also said he would refund the $100, but he never did.

While my dog did come back with some training, it absolutely was not worth the damage that was done. His potty training was destroyed, he has been sick since returning, and he hasn’t eaten properly. Being around other dogs at their facility clearly did not help his health.

I was originally considering moving forward with protection work with this company, but after what happened, I will NOT be returning. I cannot recommend this business to anyone who cares about their dog’s wellbeing.

Our 5 month old puppy, Moose recently completed the 30 day board and train program at CAN YOUR DIG DO THIS, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. From start to finish, the entire experience was professional, supportive, and truly tailored to our family’s needs.

The staff were not only friendly and approachable, but also incredibly knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what they do. They took the time to understand what we were hoping to achieve with Moose’s training, and they delivered beyond expectations. Moose came home well mannered, obedient, and responsive, and we can confidently say he’s set up for long-term success thanks to their work.

We’re so grateful for the care and training Moose receive. It has made a huge difference in our day to day life with him. Highly recommend this program to any dog owner looking for real results with a team you can trust.

Thank you again to everyone at CAN YOIR DOG DO THIS!

Where do I begin.. We acquired Koda and Shadow 2 German Shepherds because the owner could no longer take care of them. They had been running loose and had no training. They walked us and not the other way around. I looked on line and saw an advertisement for “Can Your Dog Do This?” I called and spoke with Steve and he set up an appointment the next day. We took them and he assessed them and he recommended they do the 30 day train and board. He took them on the spot. The very next day a video showed Steve walking them both on leash with no longer pulling. I can not thank Steve and amazing team enough for giving us back more structured and confident dogs!! To top it off we have support and refreshers for the life of our dogs. Highly recommend

Our puppy Stella had an amazing transformation during her board and train. The trainers were professional, caring, and kept us updated throughout. She came home more confident, responsive, and well-mannered while still her playful self. We also appreciated the tools and guidance to keep her progress going at home. Highly recommend!
