Policies

The kennel guarantees the health of adopted companions for two years and provides up-to-date shot and veterinary records. Pups are sold on pick-up only, as flights are no longer offered. The kennel is not affiliated with any other kennels, and their dogs are not available for stud services. An application and contract are available for download.

Candy Rock Kennel is a hobby breeder located in Berlin Heights, Ohio, specializing in AKC-registered Alaskan Malamute and Shiba Inu puppies. They have been breeding Alaskan Malamutes for over 25 years and Shiba Inus for 10 years. All dogs and pups are housed in a heated and air-conditioned building with indoor and outdoor access.

Their breeding program is limited and does not produce puppies year-round. Alaskan Malamute pups range from 80 lbs to 160 lbs full grown, while Shiba Inus are typically 15-20 lbs for females and up to 30 lbs for males. They focus on producing healthy, happy puppies and adults, emphasizing the health and longevity of the breeds.

When adopting, a two-year health guarantee is provided, along with up-to-date shot and veterinary records. Each new puppy comes with a puppy pack that includes a lead, collar, and one pound of puppy food. Puppies are fed TLC Wholesome pets™ puppy formula and are microchipped at approximately 4 weeks of age. All puppies are from purebred Alaskan Malamutes and Shiba Inus, with Alaskan Malamute males being DNA tested.
