About the Trainer
Goosebuster Retrievers specializes in immersion dog training, where dogs are boarded and trained at their facility over a period of time. They offer a wide range of services including Gun Dog Training, Dog Aggression training, Pointer and Retriever training, Hunting Dog Training, Obedience Training, AKC Field Trial Basics Training, Behavioral Troubleshooting, and Puppy Training and Developmental Programs. All programs are custom designed around each dog’s temperament and personality.
A key advantage is their leadership transfer program, which ensures owners can maintain their dog’s training after completion. Private lessons and refresher sessions are also available by appointment. For hunting dogs, they offer waterfowl hunting on their Idaho training grounds, where dogs ready for it will be hunted on wild birds during the season.
The business is led by Pete Eromenok, who has over forty years of experience in dog training, starting his first hunting dog in 1979. He has trained hundreds of dogs for various clients, from family pets to titled hunting dogs. Pete is highly accomplished, having earned multiple QAAs for his own dogs, qualified them for the Master National, and judged all three levels of the AKC hunt test program. His diverse background includes training detection dogs, pointing dogs, retrievers, pet dogs, and dabbling in Schutzhund training, with a special focus on aggressive dogs. He has also contributed articles to a Pennsylvania newspaper and The Retriever Journal.
