Dog Training Methodology
Methods:
- ✓ Positive Reinforcement Only
Canine Campus offers a range of classes including Explorer Pup!, Puppy Essentials, Basic Obedience: Good Manners Class, Fun & Games: Intermediate Obedience, Civilized Sniffari, CGC Rally-O Style, Total Recall, Feisty Fido Class, Agility I: Foundation Basics, Agility II: Foundation Work, Intro to Nose Work: Odor, Nose Work II: The Hunt Continues, Nose Work III: ORT (Odor Recognition Test) Prep, and Taking Shape: Tricks & Treats. They also provide behavior consultations and day camp services.
Their training approach encourages handlers to partner with their dogs using compassionate consequences, where dogs learn which choices lead to positive outcomes and which lead to the loss of access to good things. This method aims to promote a thinking dog that offers good manners willingly.
About the Trainer
At Canine Campus, they believe that a well-mannered dog has more fun in life. Their force-free approach to learning teaches clear communication to help both the human and the dog make choices that celebrate partnership.
They offer a variety of services including classes, behavior consultations, and day camp. Their training philosophy is shaped by the CCPDT Humane Hierarchy Position Statement, Applied Behavioral Analysis, Ethology, and the work of numerous renowned scientists, researchers, vets, and trainers.
Canine Campus aims to help owners realize their goals of well-mannered family dogs in a relaxed and supportive environment, enhancing the human-dog bond. They also provide retail products and space rental.
