Testimonials

“I can confidently say that working with Jeannine and her team at CCF has changed both mine and my dogs’ lives. Jeannine was able to transform my dog from a skittish and reactive pup into a well-adjusted, happy, and confident one. Jeannine is seriously one of the most compassionate and intelligent people I know, and I feel extremely privileged to have met her so early on in our training journey. The love and support I’ve experienced at CCF is something I will forever be grateful for!”
-Maryanne

“This organization has done such wonders for me and my family with our dogs. But not just for my dogs for me as well and my husband.. we’ve learned so many tips and tricks and tools and now understand our dog and other dogs on a whole new level. The experiences and expertise that you get when you join a class, the knowledge and understanding that we’ve gained because of Jeannine and CCF is just so invaluable and we are forever grateful. I will always always recommend them.”
-Savannah

“We had the best experience there! We all did our homework and my Pup (10 years old) is still so good. He’s even getting better with being reactive to some things. Positive reinforcement works for him. So thankful for you”

About the Trainer

Canine Complex & Friends (CC&F) is a force-free, dog-centered training facility in Buffalo, NY, focused on building trusting relationships between dogs and their owners through choice-based, ethological methods. They specialize in behavior modification for fearful, reactive, high-arousal, and senior dogs, using positive reinforcement exclusively. Their curriculum emphasizes canine communication, emotional well-being, and natural behaviors, helping dogs thrive in human environments. They offer group classes in Natural Puppy, Scent Work, Social Cues, Senior Dog Enrichment, and specialized programs for blind/deaf dogs, all held at partner locations including My Lil Pawdise, Dog Days of Buffalo, and Smith Road Paw Park. Their instructors are certified professionals with deep expertise in canine behavior and ethology, led by Jeannine Jay, a Master’s-level behavior consultant with specialized credentials in family dog mediation and predation substitution training.

CC&F avoids traditional command-based training, instead prioritizing the dog’s emotional state and autonomy. Their programs are designed to reduce anxiety, build confidence, and foster communication, making them ideal for owners seeking compassionate, science-backed training that respects the dog’s nature.

They also support rescue organizations and offer private in-home lessons for basic manners and minor behavior issues.

Their services are rooted in Applied Ethology and the LEGS framework, ensuring holistic care for dogs’ physical, emotional, and social needs.
