Additionally, CIC provides trauma-informed, group therapy dog sessions designed to help participants with social struggles and isolation by fostering meaningful relationships with therapy dogs, volunteers, and each other. They partner with schools and organizations in the Twin Cities to offer customizable social-emotional learning programs for students of all ages.
CIC operates a 4,205 square foot education center where they host mindful classes to strengthen the human-dog relationship and skill set. They also offer a pathway for teams to become active, pro-social CIC Therapy Dog Volunteer Teams, which involves a 6-week foundations course followed by an 8-week therapy dog training. The facility has recently doubled its square footage and added an outdoor green space.
