Classes include Puppy Preschool for pups 16 weeks and younger, focusing on socialization, and the S.T.A.R. Program for dogs 4 months and older, covering basic skills like loose leash walking, recall, sit, down, stay, and polite greeting.

Intermediate classes like Building the Bond enhance basic skills with distractions, distance, and duration, and are a prerequisite for Canine Good Citizen (CGC) and Therapy Dog classes. CGC training emphasizes responsible ownership and well-mannered dogs, preparing teams for the AKC CGC test. The Therapy Dog Class prepares dogs and handlers to become certified therapy teams, focusing on skills needed for community visits.

Specialty classes include Tricks, where dogs learn 20-30 tricks and can earn an AKC Tricks Title; Pup-Kour, which uses FITPAWS equipment for strength, balance, and confidence; Rally, a fun way to proof loose leash walking using CWAGS Rally; and Get Fit With Fido, combining cardio, balance, and strength training for both dog and owner. They also offer Reactive Dog Protocol and Reactive Dog Practice Sessions for dogs that react to other dogs, and Scent (Nosework) classes. Additionally, Canine Karma provides End of Life Support and Services.

Pricing Summary

Classes range from $170.00 to $230.00 for 5 or 6-week sessions. An End of Life Consult is $50.00 per hour. Full payment is required to confirm class enrollment.

Policies

No refunds will be given once a class is purchased. For Puppy Preschool and S.T.A.R. Program, all required forms and payments must be received 5 days prior to the class start date, or the spot will be lost.

How to Get Started!

To confirm a class, full payment is required. For most classes, proof of vaccines and a negative fecal test are needed if the dog has not been in class within the last 6 months; these forms should be emailed to tinaferner@netzero.net. For Puppy Preschool and S.T.A.R. Program, a registration form with required vet records must be submitted. Some advanced classes like Pup-Kour and Tricks require prior completion of Puppy Preschool or S.T.A.R. class, or a private assessment before enrollment.
