Dog Training Methodology
Methods:
- ✓ Balanced Training
Canine Relations offers several programs to help dog owners. Private Lessons provide personal instruction with a trainer, available at their location, your home, or an alternate site, for dogs 7 weeks and older. These lessons cover On-leash Obedience (attention, walking without pulling, sit, down, sit-stay, down-stay), Off-leash Obedience (off-leash recall), Behavior Modification (addressing issues like aggression, nipping, jumping, barking, and urination problems), and Potty Training for housebreaking.
The Board-Training Program involves a professional trainer/behaviorist training your dog in their home, typically over 21 days. This program covers foundation commands such as on-leash walking, off-leash recall, sit, down, and down-stay, along with resolving up to two specific behavior problems. It concludes with a 1.5-hour turnover lesson for the owner. This program is available year-round for potty-trained dogs aged 4.5 months to 10 years.
Maintenance Training is offered as a refresher for dogs previously trained by Canine Relations, where the dog stays in the trainer’s home. Additionally, they provide a Boarding Service for potty-trained and obedience-trained dogs, allowing them to stay with a trainer in their home with companionship, playtime, and a fenced yard.
