Each program is customized based on the dog’s breed, personality, and owner goals. After the program, owners receive a hands-on go-home lesson to learn how to reinforce training. Testimonials
“My wife and I had been frustrated with our two young chihuahua sisters… When we returned from our trip, we went out to pick the girls up at Dawn’s farm… What I saw blew me away! Not only did they sit, on command, but they also had learned to lie down, stay and to ‘go to your spot’… It has changed our lives, for all 4 of us.”
— Mark and Dawn Wright/Morton, IL
“I rescued Cinnamon from the Ark in Lacon… After a 2 week stay, Cinnamon would walk by my side without a leash. She also will come immediately on command… We now go for walks all the time.”
— Amy Funk/Eureka, IL
“We took our dog Apollo… Before going there we had a lot of trouble with reactivity towards other dogs… The difference between before and after training with Dawn is night and day! We can now walk right by other reactive dogs with no issues whatsoever.”

Dawn’s training is not just about commands—it’s about building a bond between dog and owner. She educates owners on how to lead with fairness and consistency, helping them understand their dog’s needs and communicate effectively. Her programs are designed to eliminate anxiety-driven behaviors and empower owners with the tools to maintain progress at home. Many clients report life-changing results, from dogs who no longer pull on leash or bark excessively to those who overcome fear and aggression.
Canine Solutions also offers behavior modification for complex issues like resource guarding, biting, and reactivity, often using in-home visits to address triggers in the dog’s natural environment. Dawn’s dedication extends beyond training sessions—she regularly checks in with clients and even visits dogs she has trained to ensure continued success.
