All programs include daily training sessions, crate and house manners, leash walking, recall, and the “place” command. E-collar introduction is included in the 30- and 60-day programs. Each program ends with an owner transfer session and ongoing support. Graduates may return for weekly or bi-weekly tune-ups at discounted rates. Private one-on-one sessions are available at the facility for owners who wish to participate directly in training.

Testimonials
“I was a little hesitant about sending my new puppy to training, but I’m so glad I did! Lonnie was great, and Tori was super helpful too. They made the whole process easy and really took the time to work with us.
I enjoyed it so much that I’ve decided to keep training with them and even get into sports, agility, and maybe some nose work. Can’t thank y’all enough!”
– Client
“Lonnie did a great job with our German Shorthair! He’s a goofy high energy nut but he was able to teach him recall, doorway manners and how to sit in place for over 30 minutes at a time. Even remaining in place when I leave out the front door and come back minutes later! Very proud of our boy and thank you Lonnie for helping us achieve a great foundation!”
– Client
“We found Lonnie (Canine Texas) through our local vet. We needed a trainer for our anxious and nervy 4 year old Border Collie/Lab. Lonnie did an amazing job with Charlie in the 40 day program. Lonnie is very knowledgeable in his training skills and Charlie is now back at home with a new (relaxed) and disciplined kind of demeanor. We greatly appreciated the text updates, photos, and videos while at training!! We recommend Lonnie at Canine Texas to friends, family, and neighbors for a job well done.”

About the Trainer
Canine Texas is a privately owned and operated dog training business located at a secure, two-acre home facility just outside Magnolia, TX. They specialize in pet obedience and puppy training through intensive Board & Train programs, as well as private one-on-one sessions at their facility. Their programs include crate training, house manners, loose leash walking, recall, and the “place” command, using safe, humane methods that incorporate positive reinforcement and, when needed, e-collars, prong collars, or slip collars. They offer weekly, 30-day, and 60-day boarding programs with lifetime boarding discounts and follow-up support. Owners are required to continue training at home, and the business provides transfer sessions at pickup to ensure consistency. They also offer pet boarding services with 24/7 security cameras, climate-controlled kennels, and on-site owner supervision. All dogs must meet strict health requirements including up-to-date vaccinations, fecal float tests, and heartworm prevention. They work with all breeds and life stages, from puppies to adult dogs, and emphasize long-term behavioral reliability.
Canine Texas is not a franchise and is personally managed by the owner, who is on-site daily. Clients receive regular updates via photos and videos during boarding. The facility is fully fenced and designed for safety and comfort, making it ideal for dogs with high energy or behavioral challenges. They also provide a recommended Gamma2 Vittles Vault for food storage and require dogs to be bathed before drop-off.
Their training commitment emphasizes owner responsibility, and they do not assume liability for behavioral regression due to lack of home reinforcement. They accept dogs of all sizes and types, including herding, sporting, and working breeds, and have experience with anxious, reactive, and stubborn dogs.
Additional services include pet boarding with a $25/day discount for graduates of their training programs.
