Training begins with a personalized evaluation to assess the dog’s needs and owner’s goals. Clients then choose between private sessions (in-home, public spaces, or facility-based) or small group classes (max 6–10 dogs). Programs include Puppy Foundations, Basic Obedience, Reactivity Rehab, and Public Access 101. The HomeBase program offers immersive training support. Progress is tracked with ongoing adjustments to the plan, and certification pathways are available through Certify Canine for service and therapy dogs. Training emphasizes real-world application over controlled environments.

Testimonials
We can’t say enough great things about Blake! From day one, she made such a positive difference in our pup’s life–and in ours. Blake has a real gift for not only training dogs, but also teaching pet-parents in a way that feels simple and doable. The instructions she gave us were clear, easy to follow, and actually worked, which gave us the confidence to keep building on the progress at home.
Our pup is already showing better behavior, and the whole experience has been such a relief. Blake is patient, encouraging, and you can tell she truly cares. If you’re looking for someone who will help you connect with your dog and make training feel manageable, Blake is the one to call.
Blake is very patient with my Baxter. He will be even better as we go along with his training.
About the Trainer
Canine Training Collective is a dog training business based in Arizona that offers in-person private lessons, group classes, and community events designed to build trust and real-life skills between dogs and their owners. Led by Blake Woody, a master trainer with over 15 years of experience, the company focuses on relationship-based, balanced training methods rooted in operant conditioning. They train in real-world environments—including homes, neighborhoods, parks, and their Magnolia facility—to ensure lasting behavior change. They also offer the HomeBase program and specialized training for service and therapy dogs through their affiliated certification body, Certify Canine. Their programs are tailored to individual needs, with small class sizes and personalized plans that emphasize communication, confidence, and integration into daily life.
They provide training for puppies, adolescents, and adult dogs, with specialties in reactivity, leash pulling, recall, separation anxiety, and public access preparation. Their trainers work with a variety of breeds, including high-drive working dogs like German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois. Canine Training Collective is the training arm of Certify Canine, a national leader in working dog certification and third-party liability insurance qualification, giving clients access to standardized, reputable training benchmarks.
Community events like Pack Walks and Game Night foster connection and practice in low-pressure settings. Training is available in-person across the Phoenix metro area and virtually nationwide for select services. They do not offer boarding, grooming, or daycare services, focusing exclusively on training and behavior support.
Accomplishments

How to Get Started!
All clients begin with a 30-minute evaluation to assess the dog’s behavior, owner goals, and lifestyle. This evaluation is required before enrolling in any group class or private training program. It helps determine the best training path—private, group, or HomeBase—and ensures appropriate gear and group safety.
