Dog Training Methodology
Methods:
- ✓ Balanced Training
Equipment:
- ✓ E-Collars
All training programs are tailored to the specific needs of the dog and owner. A consultation is required to determine the appropriate training path, considering the dog’s personality and the owner’s goals.
Programs are generally held at a location of the client’s choosing, with the exception of the Master the Walk program, which specifically addresses leash pulling and reactivity. The Oz Park & Facility Programs include: Master the Walk (3 weeks) for pulling and reactivity in reactive and non-reactive dogs; Basic Control (6 weeks) for reactivity, off-leash recall, and minor behavior problems like barking; Moderate Control (9 weeks) for reactivity, off-leash recall, minor human aggression, and stationary control; and Full Control (12 weeks) for reactivity, stationary control, minor/moderate human aggression, and full off-leash control.
The Behavior Program (12+ weeks) is designed for rare cases of truly aggressive dogs and offers a “warranty” on the behaviors covered for the dog’s lifetime. This program is more expensive due to the severity of behaviors and associated risks. Should issues arise later, Jesse will re-assess and address problems at no extra charge.

Testimonials
“We started working with Jesse at Canine Perspective and would highly recommend anyone else to do the same! Jesse taught us that Doug needed rules and structure to help calm his nerves and help him feel safe. Jesse was knowledgeable and spent the time to truly understand Doug and what he personally needed to be a well-behaved pup. Jesse is attentive, knowledgeable, and a great teacher for pups and their families. We can attest that Jesse is truly the dog whisperer of Chicago!”
– Marissa L.
“I was pretty amazed how quickly Louie learned to “drop” possessions-which I truly never thought was possible- and he learned so many other commands that controlled his naughty behaviors. Jesse was very professional, flexible with scheduling, and whenever we brought up Louie’s particular issues, he was quick to provide a solution. He explained his methods well and it all really made sense…”

About the Trainer
Jesus ‘Jesse’ San Miguel, known as “The Chicago Dog Whisperer,” is the owner and sole-operator of Canine Perspective, Inc. He possesses a natural intuition and ability to determine the cause and solution for a dog’s behavior. Jesse’s primary focus is to educate everyone on the importance of understanding dogs and their respective needs, especially those with behavioral issues.
He acquired his knowledge through volunteer work at a local animal shelter in Harlingen, Texas, where he focused on “problem” dogs. Jesse later pursued an internship with world-renowned dog trainer Richard Heinz, “The Miami Dog Whisperer,” to further his expertise in severe behavior cases. He now applies this knowledge to rehabilitate dogs at risk of euthanasia.
