Christian K-9 Academy offers a variety of dog training programs, including Board and Train, Private Lessons, Puppy Training, Protection Dog Training, Police K9 Training, and Gun Dog Training.

Board and Train programs are offered in 10, 15, 20, or 25-day durations at their luxury facility. These programs cover everything from basic on-leash obedience (10-day) to off-leash commands and behavior modification (15-day, 20-day), and serious aggression resolution (25-day Elite Dog Program). They include regular updates, monthly maintenance training for one year, and follow-up lessons for the life of the dog, with ongoing support.

Private Lessons provide one-on-one customized training plans for specific behavior issues, either at their facility or in the client’s home (west side of Columbus only). These lessons focus on teaching owners how to train their dogs.

Puppy Training Camp is a 10-day Board and Train program for essential obedience and socialization, with private puppy training lessons also available.

Protection Dog Training involves meticulously selected and extensively trained dogs for personal, family, or organizational security. Police K9 Training offers basic and advanced instruction for K9s and their handlers. Gun Dog Training provides personalized retrieval training for hunting, focusing on obedience, environmental stability, and channeling instinct.

Pricing Summary

Board and Train programs range from $2350 to $4500, with cash discounts available. The 10-day program is $2350 ($2100 cash), the 15-day is $3500 ($3200 cash), and the 20-day is $4500 ($4200 cash). The Elite Dog Program (25-day) is priced upon evaluation. All Board and Train programs include equipment. A half-down deposit is required to schedule, with the remaining balance due halfway through the program, except for the 20-day program which requires a $200 deposit. Financing options are available for Board and Train programs. Pricing for Gun Dog Training and Protection Dog Training is available upon contact. They offer a guarantee: if no progress is made or expectations are not met, the remaining balance will not be charged.

Mitch Christian, the CEO/Owner and Director of Training, is also the President of German Shepherd Rescue Ohio and founder of Midwest Working Dogs. He served in the United States Marine Corps, working with military working dog handlers. Mitch is a graduate of the Highland K9 International School for Dog Trainers, where he graduated at the top of his class, and is certified as a pet, police, and military K9 instructor. He has instructed dogs for search and rescue teams, police K9s, and household pets.

Dean Harris serves as Head Trainer and Police K9 Decoy. Tommy Cross is the Kennel Manager and a Police K9 instructor, bringing experience as an Iraq combat veteran.

How to Get Started!

To get started, clients need to set up a Gingr account via their app or website portal to schedule an evaluation. The initial evaluation is a half-hour process conducted at their training facility. An evaluation is required before attending the Elite Dog Program.
