Circle K9 offers several intensive board and train programs. Puppy Imprinting (2 weeks) focuses on foundational communication and basic obedience for puppies under 5 months, including one private lesson. Advanced On-Leash Obedience (4 weeks) builds on basic on-leash skills with greater precision and reliability, including two private lessons. Basic Off-Leash Obedience (6 weeks) extends advanced on-leash skills to off-leash, with two private lessons and one Zoom lesson. Advanced Off-Leash Obedience (8 weeks) further refines off-leash skills with greater precision and obedience in motion, including three private lessons and one Zoom lesson. The Ultimate Companion Training (12 weeks) provides comprehensive off-leash training at their facility and in public, covering obedience in various environments and tailored to the owner’s lifestyle, for dogs 6 months and older, including four private lessons.

Additional training options include Boarding with Training, offering 2+ daily sessions for dogs previously trained by CK9, with a basic brush and bath for stays over 7 days. They also offer a 10-day Treadmill Training Program for previously trained dogs needing high-energy workouts, and Boarding with Treadmill sessions for dogs already trained on the treadmill.

Pricing Summary

Training programs range from $1,350 for 2 weeks of Puppy Imprinting to $3,950 for 8 weeks of Advanced Off-Leash Obedience. The 12-week Ultimate Companion Training requires contacting them for pricing. Additional fees apply for pick-ups after 3 PM Monday-Friday and for after-hours pick-up/drop-offs, which require prior approval. A $30 fee is applied for flea and tick treatment if found upon check-in. Boarding facility features are all-inclusive with no extra charges.

Policies

All dogs must have current vaccinations (Rabies, DHLP, Influenza H3N8 and H3N2, Bordetella) administered by a veterinarian at least 7 days prior to boarding. Flea and tick exams are conducted at check-in, with a $30 fee for bath and medication if found. Additional fees apply for pick-ups after 3 PM Monday-Friday and for approved after-hours pick-up/drop-offs. Certain training programs, such as Boarding with Training and Treadmill Training, are only available to dogs previously trained by Circle K9, and not all dogs qualify for treadmill training. Puppy Imprinting is for dogs under 5 months, while Ultimate Companion Training requires a minimum age of 6 months.

The facility, located in Magnolia, Texas, provides a fun and safe environment for dogs to learn and play. It features large outdoor runs, a climate-controlled facility with a UV Light Anti-Bacterial HVAC system, 4×8 indoor kennels, and 11×21 individual outdoor runs. Dogs spend the majority of their day in huge outdoor runs, playing, or enjoying the country atmosphere, only using indoor kennels at night, nap time, and during inclement weather.

The training facility includes large, beautiful training fields with trees and wildlife, and a large indoor climate-controlled training area for year-round comfort. Boarding services emphasize love, attention, and care, with elevated Kuranda Beds provided. All boarding facility features are all-inclusive with no extra charges.

Accomplishments

Dave Ketterer is a graduate of Wharton Business School and a certified professional trainer from the Tom Rose School, where he graduated first in his class. He has extensive experience working, training, and titling dogs in AKC and Schutzhund. The business itself was formed in 2011 and has built a reputation as a premier dog boarding and kennel facility, having trained thousands of dogs.
