Testimonials
Hi Rose- wanted to send another update. It’s going GREAT!!! It’s nice to work with Mick and have his attention or have the tool to gain his attention. We have a routine and even yesterday Mick and I were working in the yard and he stayed by my side the entire time. I allowed him space but even if he was getting too far just my command to come would bring him. I didn’t need to tap him and one time when I was raking he even joined in and was digging. This is what I wanted so much and it worked! He leaves the outside cats alone but forgot the chickens were off-limits more to learn. Going out at night for our last party I turn on the little light on his collar and I can see him. We go out now when its time to come in . I tell him. and he runs ahed to the door.
Wherever I go, Mick is always close behind.
Life is good!

When I rescued our little Dachshund Jake he came with a lot of “baggage”. He had severe aggression issues and he needed an experienced trainer who was willing to take their time with him (and me!) The first time I met Rose, I knew right away she was dedicated to helping me help my dog. She has so much knowledge and understanding of dog behavior. It was only with her help that I can now confidently take Jake into public situations without the fear of him being aggressive towards people or other animals. After attending private lessons and group classes, he is a different dog. Not to mention I have a much better understanding of dog behavior in general which I believe makes me a better dog owner. I am 100% satisfied with the amazing experience I had with Cold Creek Dog Training and dog trainer Rose DeLuca!

Rose you are truly a great teacher. Before I met you I knew nothing of dog training. You have been a support and resource for me over the years. You have seen me through the adoption process and loss of 3 dogs since we first met in 2003. They all had a better life because you enabled me to be a good owner and make good training decisions. The dog I have now, which I was able to adopt from you, is also a really well trained, well adjusted dog I can take anywhere, all due to the classes I took with you and the knowledge I gained there.

About the Trainer
Cold Creek Dog Training is a professional dog training business founded in 2002, serving dog owners in South-Central Pennsylvania, Northern Maryland, and Eastern Ohio. They specialize in behavior modification for serious issues like aggression, anxiety, reactivity, leash pulling, and puppy challenges, using personalized, compassionate training rooted in real-world behavioral science rather than basic obedience drills. They offer two primary training paths: private in-home lessons and immersive Board & Train programs where dogs live with certified trainers in home environments—not kennels. Both options include lifetime training support, daily photo/video updates during board and train, and hands-on coaching for owners. They also provide specialized programs for puppies, service dogs, and challenging dogs, with virtual training available worldwide. Their trainers are certified behavioral experts with over 30 years of combined experience, and they emphasize building calm, confident dogs and stronger human-canine relationships.
They support a wide range of dog types and ages, from puppies to seniors, and offer discounts for veterans and military families. Their approach is flexible, adapting to the owner’s comfort level and lifestyle, and they guarantee results with ongoing support.
In addition to training, they offer related services including dog boarding, puppy training, and service dog training for individuals with disabilities. They are not a franchise and pride themselves on customized, non-cookie-cutter solutions.
