Dog Training Methodology
Methods:
- ✓ Balanced Training
Equipment:
- ✓ Food Rewards
- ✓ Obstacle Courses
Cold Creek Dog Training offers two main training options: Private Training and Board and Train. Private Training involves one-on-one lessons conducted in the client’s home and local community, typically scheduled every two weeks. In this program, owners learn consistent obedience and behavioral training alongside their dog, focusing on teaching the dog to listen and behave reliably even without specific commands, such as yielding at doors or self-settling when anxious.
The Board and Train program is designed for busy owners, where the dog resides in the trainer’s home as part of the family, not in a kennel environment. Clients receive daily updates with videos and pictures. After the dog completes its training, the owner is then trained. Both training choices aim to achieve similar results, with the selection depending on the client’s lifestyle and the dog’s specific needs. Both programs include guaranteed lifetime training support for all dogs.

Testimonials
“Hi Rose- wanted to send another update. It’s going GREAT!!! It’s nice to work with Mick and have his attention or have the tool to gain his attention. We have a routine and even yesterday Mick and I were working in the yard and he stayed by my side the entire time. I allowed him space but even if he was getting too far just my command to come would bring him. I didn’t need to tap him and one time when I was raking he even joined in and was digging. This is what I wanted so much and it worked! He leaves the outside cats alone but forgot the chickens were off-limits more to learn. Going out at night for our last party I turn on the little light on his collar and I can see him. We go out now when its time to come in . I tell him. and he runs ahed to the door.Wherever I go, Mick is always close behind.Life is good!”
– D.Taylor, Aspers PA
“When I rescued our little Dachshund Jake he came with a lot of “baggage”. He had severe aggression issues and he needed an experienced trainer who was willing to take their time with him (and me!) The first time I met Rose, I knew right away she was dedicated to helping me help my dog. She has so much knowledge and understanding of dog behavior. It was only with her help that I can now confidently take Jake into public situations without the fear of him being aggressive towards people or other animals. After attending private lessons and group classes, he is a different dog. Not to mention I have a much better understanding of dog behavior in general which I believe makes me a better dog owner. I am 100% satisfied with the amazing experience I had with Cold Creek Dog Training and dog trainer Rose DeLuca!”
– B. Menapace, Gettysburg, PA
“Rose you are truly a great teacher. Before I met you I knew nothing of dog training. You have been a support and resource for me over the years. You have seen me through the adoption process and loss of 3 dogs since we first met in 2003. They all had a better life because you enabled me to be a good owner and make good training decisions. The dog I have now, which I was able to adopt from you, is also a really well trained, well adjusted dog I can take anywhere, all due to the classes I took with you and the knowledge I gained there.”
– R. Brown, Batawa, Ontario Canada
About the Trainer
Cold Creek Dog Training, established in 2002, provides dog training services addressing various behavioral and obedience challenges. They focus on a combined behavioral and reliable obedience training approach, utilizing motivational techniques with treats and toys, alongside natural training methods to help dogs relax and pay attention without constant commands or bribes. The trainers collaborate with owners to select methods and tools that align with their comfort levels, prioritizing the individual needs of each dog.
The business tackles common issues such as leash reactivity, ignoring commands, hyper puppies, and problems in rescue dogs stemming from traumatic backgrounds. Cold Creek Dog Training offers both private in-home training, where owners are actively involved, and a Board and Train program for busy clients, where dogs reside with the trainer as part of the family. Both training options aim for similar positive outcomes and include lifetime training support.
