Dog Training Methodology

Methods:

  • Balanced Training

Colorado Canine Training offers several programs tailored to different needs. Puppy Training builds a strong foundation with essential commands like sit, stay, come, and leave it, along with socialization and housebreaking. Obedience Training covers basic commands such as sit, stay, come, down, and heel, and addresses common behavioral issues like jumping and barking. This program involves weekly 30-minute sessions, typically lasting 6 weeks, and can lead to group classes.

The intensive Board & Train program allows dogs to stay at the training facility for 2, 4, or 6 weeks for personalized, hands-on training focusing on obedience, behavioral issues, and manners. This program includes a 1-hour send-home class and unlimited group classes. Behavior Modification Training addresses specific issues such as excessive barking, aggression, separation anxiety, and destructive chewing. Behavior Management Training helps owners understand and manage their dog’s behavior.

Protection Dog Training focuses on developing confident and reliable family guardians, ensuring dogs alert and defend only when necessary, and respond to commands at all times. This specialized program requires a temperament evaluation. Group Training Classes are available after successful completion of obedience training for real-world application and socialization.

Testimonials

“I had an extremely good experience with Colorado Canine Training as far as board and training while we were in Europe for 3 weeks. Vince really listened to what we wanted in regard to outcomes, and we got back a completely different dog as far as behavior, but still our lovable puppy. Highly recommend giving them a look!”
– Reddit review

“I just got done with the six week obedience training with Oliver a sassy and sometimes a stubborn Corgi. Not only was Oliver going through training so was I to become a better owner. I can’t wait to begin the group training! I highly recommend Vince he really listens to your concerns and takes his time explaining the different techniques he is teaching!”
– Yelp review

“My wife and I recently got a Doberman puppy and Vince was recommended to us by a friend. He has been phenomenal in not only working with our dog, but in teaching us the nuance within the training that makes such a difference. In just a couple of weeks our puppy is mastering commands and loves the structure of the training. I highly recommend Vince to anyone who not only wants a well trained dog, but would like to learn how to most effectively train a dog along the way.”
