It has been about 6 months since I picked up my new best friend/service dog, Kasey, from Command K9 Behavior and I could not be happier. Kasey has made a significant impact on my daily life. From church to dr’s office to restaurants to college football games, he is excellent at home and in public, performs tasks instinctively and follows commands immediately.

About the Trainer

Command K9 Behavior is a full-board and training facility founded by Alexandra Nass, a 100% disabled U.S. Army veteran and former Military Working Dog Handler. She specializes in basic and advanced obedience, off-leash training, public access, and custom service dog training for PTSD, mobility, diabetic response, medical alert, and therapy needs. Alexandra has trained dogs for elite agencies including the Secret Service, U.S. State Department, and Air Force One, and owns her own service dog, Trump, who assists her with mobility, PTSD, and depression. Her personal experience as a veteran and service dog handler gives her unique insight into the life-changing impact of properly trained service dogs. The facility offers board-and-train programs with daily updates, video access, and private follow-up lessons for owners. They also sell fully trained service dogs and provide training for all sizes of dogs, despite some program size restrictions.

Clients praise the team for their patience, professionalism, and ability to rehabilitate dogs with behavioral damage from previous training. Training is conducted at their facility in De Leon Springs, FL, with structured programs ranging from 2 to 30 weeks depending on the service needed.

Accomplishments

Alexandra Nass graduated top of her class and received the Top Dog Award from the Military Working Dog Handler Course. She holds a Master Dog Educator/Trainer certificate from Jo-Thor’s Dog Trainers Academy and has trained dogs for the Secret Service, U.S. State Department, and Disney Cruise Line. She also served as head trainer for a nonprofit serving disabled veterans.
