Connecticut K-9 Education Center offers a variety of dog training programs including Puppy Kindergarten, Basic Elementary, Advanced/Intermediate, Agility, Canine Good Citizen, Residential Training, Private Lessons/Behavior Consultation, and From Rescue to Home Class. Group classes typically run for 7 weeks and are limited to 10 teams.

Puppy Kindergarten focuses on socialization and basic obedience for young puppies. Basic Elementary teaches on-lead commands like Sit, Stay, Down, Heel, Come, and Stand for dogs 6 months and older. Advanced/Intermediate classes build on Basic Elementary, working towards off-leash control and distraction work.

Agility classes, including Basic Agility and Foundations of Basic Agility, mimic natural dog instincts, focusing on obstacle introduction, handling skills, and competition preparation. The Canine Good Citizen Course prepares dogs and handlers for the AKC CGC test. Residential Training is an intensive three-week board and train program for basic obedience and advanced command proofing. Private Lessons and Behavior Consultations address individual needs and specific behavior problems. The From Rescue to Home Class, taught by a certified trainer, covers understanding rescue dogs, various training methods including positive and negative reinforcement, and addressing common behavioral issues like resource guarding and separation anxiety.
