Core K9 Solutions offers various training programs tailored to different needs and ages. One-on-one sessions, lasting 2 hours for in-home and 1 hour for at-location, focus on teaching owners skills, improving leash handling, and understanding dog behavior, covering management skills, basic obedience, and communication systems. Prepaid packages offer discounted pricing.
Board and Train programs are available for adult dogs (6 months and older) for 1, 2, or 3 weeks, teaching basic commands like sit, down, heel, and place, along with addressing leash walking and doorway manners. The programs include field trips and distraction proofing. Advanced Obedience Board and Train (3-4 weeks) is recommended for more advanced training around distractions and off-leash work, ideal for dogs with minimal obedience, over-excitement, impulsivity, or mild to difficult reactivity. This package includes remote collar training.
The Hybrid Package combines 5 preliminary one-on-one sessions with a 2-week board and train, allowing for more advanced training in a shorter stay and more owner hands-on work. Puppy Training Classes and Packages are available for puppies 7 months and younger, focusing on food and reward-based training, management, engagement, motivation building, socialization, potty training, leash manners, and basic obedience. This includes one-on-one sessions, a Puppy Kickstarter Board and Train, and a Puppy Socialization Package.
Behavior Modification and Rehabilitation Packages (4-6 weeks) are designed for dogs with severe reactivity, fear, aggression, or anxiety, incorporating counter conditioning, muzzle conditioning, exposure therapy, desensitization, and high-level distraction training. Structured Boarding is offered for dogs with existing basic obedience skills, including daily training sessions, structured walks, and “place” time. Daily Stay and Train allows owners to drop off their dogs for day training, with overnight boarding also available.

Testimonials
“Corey was amazing with my dog, a large German Shepard with some dominance issues. In 3 weeks he has made tremendous progress! He was calm and assertive with my dog despite his “antics” at the beginning of training. We even got a compliment from a jogger in his great behavior on his walk yesterday! I highly recommend Core K9.”

“Amazing! We did 2 one week board and trains with Corey for our Olde English Bulldog. Our puppy Tank is our 1st OEB and he is quite stubborn with a mind of his own. Let me tell you it was the BEST decision ever! When I talked with Corey I asked what the board and train is all about, pricing etc and he was absolutely thorough in all of the details especially on how dogs really benefit from the training. We were reassured that we could contact Corey at anytime for any questions or concerns which I’m sure I took full advantage of, but he was always so thorough and I never felt like it was a bother to him. Our dog really loves the training and we are so grateful! If you’re considering dog training, definitely contact Corey!”

“We just got our dog “Charlie” back a few hours ago and he is a completely different dog! Before going thru Core K9 Solutions Charlie was an absolute nightmare (understatement of the century!!!) Corey took the challenge after a short in home visit to take Charlie for a 2 week board & train. As I mentioned we just got Charlie back and Corey spent 3 hours at our home going over everything Charlie had learned and accomplished in the last 2 weeks along with new techniques that we should be using to continue our dogs AMAZING accomplishments. Now I am not really a person that writes reviews too much, but Corey really deserves this one! He smashed my expectations and blew me away! Honestly! I have already FaceTimed my entire family and showed them the complete 180 that Charlie has done and they are in complete shock. This couldn’t have been done without Corey. This is truly his calling and his passion and I cannot thank him enough. Thanks again Corey! I would recommend him to anybody without hesitation. Many many thanks,”

About the Trainer
Core K9 Solutions LLC is a dog training company that offers pet dog training for all breeds, ages, and temperaments. They welcome dogs with various issues including jumping, barking, digging, nipping, counter surfing, trash eating, being out-of-control, aggressive, fearful, and anxious. The company believes in clear communication, great leadership, and a strengthened bond to help all dogs achieve rehabilitation and enjoy a healthy, happy life.
They emphasize a balanced training approach, customizing programs to individual animal needs and owner expectations. They utilize clickers, markers, and commands as a base communication system, employing the four quadrants of learning (operant conditioning) which are proven successful with all types and temperaments of dogs. They use various motivators like food, exercise, verbal praise, play, and touch, positively reinforcing desired behaviors and applying appropriate corrections for unwanted ones.
A portion of the proceeds from every day a dog spends in a board-and-train program helps feed a foster pet for the same amount of time. The head trainer, Corey, is hands-on with all learning/teaching aspects for both dogs and owners, with a passion rooted in shelter, rescue, and foster realities. They aim to give owners the knowledge, skills, and tools to become strong leaders for their pets, helping repair and rebuild pet/owner relationships.
Accomplishments
Corey, the head trainer, has a lifelong dream of working with animals and grew up with dogs. He operated a small dog walking and boarding business for years. His personal journey with his high-energy Catahoula, Blaze, led him to balanced training after initial struggles with positive-only methods.
He fostered and worked with dozens of dogs through a local rescue group, gaining exposure to various temperaments and serious issues like food and stranger aggression. He also trained his girlfriend’s dogs and friends’ dogs. He sought out local trainers and had multiple apprenticeship positions offered.
He continuously seeks to improve his craft through local and online seminars and books from top dog trainers, learning about sport, agility, tracking, and protection, while maintaining a passion for pet dog training and human-pet relationships.
