Testimonials

“Remi is able to stay in ”place” while inside and our kids(7, 4, and 1) and our niece/ nephew can play around her and love on her and she knows she has to stay on het cot “place”!! Remi runs around outside and comes when called. She doesn’t jump on the kids. I can finally take Remi and all the kids on a walk!! I am so glad that doug and I sent Remi to “boot camp” because now we have an AWESOME, well behaved family dog!!! I am also grateful that I can text Amber anytime for questions or guidance!! Remi also goes to daycare once a week! Thank you again, Amber!!”
– Colleen & Remi

“We had been told by other trainers “to give her back to the breeder, there’s no helping her”, the vets office had marked her chart with “aggressive!”. While we know she had a few isolated incidents of aggression, she was not a bad dog and we were not giving up. Amber agreed!”
– Chelsey & Presley

“After Core K9, Benji is no longer scared of people, of dogs or any kind of obscure object. I can walk in the street, and he doesn’t pull my arm off. He will sit, lie down, and get on his ‘place’ on command. He is no longer aggressive with visitors to my home. The biggest achievement is that he is now able to be groomed. Amber was able to bathe him and dry him with a hair dryer. He was combed, and his nasty, matted fur was gone. She was able to trim him up and tidy his paws. This on it’s own, given how anxious he was, makes the program worth every cent.”

About the Trainer

Core K9 Training, located in Richmond, Kentucky, provides obedience and behavior modification training for both dogs and their owners. Their programs are designed with the dog and family in mind, emphasizing that there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to dog training. A core part of their programs is training the owner, requiring 100% dedication from the owner to help their dog.

Their main goal is to help owners feel confident taking their dog anywhere without embarrassment from unwanted behaviors, such as at parks, on walks, on vacation, in dog-friendly stores, or at kids’ soccer games. They teach effective communication between dog and owner, training dogs to pay attention regardless of distractions like other dogs, strangers, squirrels, or food on the ground.

In addition to training programs, Core K9 Training offers client-exclusive overnight boarding and structured daycare. The structured daycare is similar to traditional doggy daycare but includes training sessions.
